Avsim reviewer Grahame Myers takes a look at the 2005 version of the Marchetti SF260. This is the third reiew of this aircraft over as many years, and it never gets old.

"The very first version was visually stunning, and over the years it’s just got better and better," says Grahame, "the 2005 update is just gorgeous in every respect."

Real Air Simulations have learned from their previous releases. "The technology they’ve used for the VC in this update was introduced in the RAS Spitfire released a while ago", comments Grahame. He adds, "There is NO difference between 2D and VC cockpit fps, and with a visual quality and gauge refresh rate that has to be seen to be believed."

So how does this year's version fly? "The SF-260 is special in that it has the most realistic flying properties and it has a few flying characteristics that demand respect and your full attention," notes Grahame.

"As you’ve probably guessed by now, the SF-260 is my all-time favorite in FS. I fell in love with it back in 2002, and since then, I’ve flown countless hours in it."

Beautifully written Graham. I too have been a big fan of RealAir's expertise in aircraft since the Fly days. The SF260 in all releases has been a fun flyer and your review hit on the high points and really showed the well deserved enthusiasm this aircraft has earned.

Again the bar has been lifted on virtual cockpits. the sf has been a favorite since its creation and now its even better. . stunning !!
One problem though ... all other light aircraft VC's seem inadequate !!!
