Greetings Steve,
Just a note to say I enjoy your reviews and am very impressed by your screen shots in the ”screenshots forum”. The scenery and visual perfection of your uploaded images are terrific. Please keep them coming, they really are great.
Now on to my question: I have a Cel II @953, 384 megs of RAM, V5 5500 64 meg on a Windows 2000 system and even set at a notch above 1600 x 1200 resolution @ FSAA 2x, I cannot produce the jaggie-less beauty that I see in your presentations. I’ve just upgraded from a TNT 2 Ultra 32 meg, but the V5 was to improve the smoothness. I’m running the very newest and most likely last Voodoo drivers available set to optimal and a flat screen Trinitron 19” monitor. Any suggestions? Sorry, my questions are directed at FS2000 Standard.
Sincerely,
Rick Brhely [Respond to this Article] [Return to Articles List]

Rick,
Sounds like you've got a really terrific system there! (I'm running a PIII 900mhz, 512mb ram, 19" KDS monitor, GeForce2 GTS 32mb video card, with an Altec/Lansing 5-way surround sound system) My screenshots have the lack of the jaggies, not from my system though, but from the software program I use to produce the jpg files! I'm using Microsoft's latest PhotoDraw2000 version 2 to convert from the bmp screenshots to a jpg file (after size reduction within PhotoDraw).
