Mr. Cartwright,
Just wanted to thank you for your VERY kind review of my Lake Perseverance scenery. I was especially pleased at the mention of the challenge of getting into that small lake. The challenge of getting some of the larger seaplanes, such as the S-38, down into that litle bowl was really one of the prime reasons for doing the scenery. I haven't yet tried Pilots Boeing Clipper but I intend to. That should provide some real healthy night sweats, as well as scraped botton plates and well dented leading edges. All in great fun.
Haven't yet been able to find an email address so I could send this personally, but I want you to know it was much appreciated.
Sincerely, Morton Rupp [Respond to this Article] [Return to Articles List]

Dear Steve:
I consider myself a fanatic when it comes to 'new' downloads, and like to think that's normal. (?maybe not...hehe). I've been unable to enjoy my flightsims for quite some time until recently due to health problems, so you can imagine how much catching up I need to do. ;o)
I find your 'Bear's Cave Mini-Reviews' a great, new feature that has been a long time coming. Even though I carry out daily searches on flightsim websites for 'new downloads' religiously, this feature will surely serve me well and save me some time.
Just curious (maybe lazy for not looking, hehe) if you have an archive of your 'mini-reviews'? Thanks again and carry on the great service.

Jeffrey,
Actually, my "Bear Cave" is not new, as I am nearing completion of my 3rd year with this feature here at AVSIM. Check my archive under the heading "reviews" at the top of the main page. From there, click on the "mini-review" link in the upper left column. There you will see a listing of my mini-reviews dating back to the beginnings of FS2000!
