Dear Steve,

Thanks so much for picking my Ercoupe and also the Seabee. I have been out of work for several months now, so I cannot express how much your compliments have meant to me.

By the way, on the Ercoupe it should be flown by checking the auto-rudder box. I think that is what you meant by linking the rudders and airlerons.

Thanks,
John Woodward

Actually, it would be quite simple to link the rudder to the ailerons in GMax, by simply renaming the rudder to l_aileron_rudder and realigning the axis! :)

Informed estimates indicate that over one THOUSAND Ercoupes are still flying.

Ercoupes without rudder pedals are capable of handling (and certified for) higher crosswinds than ANY other light aircraft, even today.

Because of superior their "crabbed" crosswind landing characteristics, jet airline pilots originally were required to take training in an Ercoupe because they were the only aircraft that could land in a crab like the sophisticated jets were built to do.
