Virtual Aerosvit (http://www.virtualaerosvit.com)
My partner Matthew and I would like to announce that Virtual Aerosvit is officially open and is accepting new pilots. For the best part of three months, Matthew and I have worked hard on getting the website, and the systems that make a virtual airline function, in an operable position. We have made vast improvements to the site, and we have added many features with more ideas in the works. What is Virtual Aerosvit?Virtual Aerosvit is a Virtual Airline that is based on the real Ukrainian airline Aerosvit. Virtual Aerosvit was founded on the 6th of July with full permission of Aerosvit. Virtual Aerosvit started off on a free hosting site with adverts and a simple design. (If you want to see what changes have been made since we had the old website, three months ago, visit here.) Since then, we have paid for the web hosting and the domain name and built a website that we are proud of.What is your aim?Our aim is to create a community that provides a fun and relaxed environment, without all the competition and demands. We want to create an environment where pilots can sign up, chat in the forums, get together and fly. There are no strict guidelines on where to go, we just want people to have a choice. They can fly a scheduled flight from our flight schedule, or just simply fly from one airport to another. We allow pilots to choose when they wish to fly, and the flight hours will be logged. What planes do you have? Our fleet consists of:A320-214An-24B737-200B737-300B737-400B737-500B767-300ERWhere do you operate? Our main hub is the Boryspil (Kiev) airport in the Ukraine. Most flights depart from Boryspil and land all over the globe. We have a scenery package, available for the pilots to download, of Boryspil airport, which is very detailed. What jobs are available? We are mainly looking for pilots in order for this virtual airline to operate. However we may be soon looking for an aircraft painter, public relations director, fleet manager and an engineer. If anybody is interested in filling in one of the staff positions, then please contact me personally at ceo@virtualaerosvit.com. If you would like to become a pilot then please click on the ‘Join’ link on our website. What features are on your website? We have a range of features on our website ranging from the most common necessities such as a pirep system, to soon a pilot payroll system. We plan on integrating a system where pilots would receive a pay when participating in events and just generally logging the hours. The money earned can then be spent in a shop on the website that would sell extras ranging from a personal email address to a personalised paint for their aircraft. Its something that we plan on integrating to provide some interest and gives the pilots something to aim for. We have an interactive map that allows pilots to get a visual idea of the routes we have, and if you hover over a particular route, it will display information on that route such as trip time and route length. We also provide a route schedule, so if pilots want to fly a particular route, just pop over to the schedules page and review the flight times for your chosen route. The map and schedule work well together for choosing your next flight. We have a forum that will not only provide information on the goings on, but will be there for the pilots to relax and have a chat. We also have integrated a gallery into the website where pilots can upload their images and screenshots for the rest of the community to see. Who knows we may have a screenshot competition and other competitions that pilots can participate in.There are many features on the website, and we plan to add more things. If anybody has an idea that they would like to see on the site then by all means contact us and we will see if it is feasible.Any plans for the future? There are so many plans for the future that I don’t know where to begin. We plan on supporting FSX when it comes out as well as constantly updating and improving the website. We also plan on opening a cargo section to the site, so a MD-80 is currently being painted and the cargo section of the site is under construction. We do provide help to the new pilots among us, so we will assist them with getting to grips with handling a small Cessna to the larger 737s. We aim to utilise the co-pilot software from gates.to and fsnet. This will allow us to teach the newer pilots more effectively as well as providing a more personalised approach. So where can I find you?You can find the website here www.virtualaerosvit.com. This is where the site is located, as well as the forums. If you have any questions you can either contact Matthew or myself directly through the contact form on the website or email viceceo@virtualaerosvit.com or ceo@virtualaerosvit.com. If you have any questions regarding the site contact me at webmaster@virtualaerosvit.com. We regularly check our email so you can expect a reply within a couple of hours. We have got this far, all we need now is for people to join and start the ball rolling in getting what can potentially be, a good VA.Alex BerezovskyCEO

Virtual Airways Plus (http://www.vaplus.org)
Virtual Airways Plus was founded a small but very experienced group of virtual pilots. We all have years of experience in flight simulation, and some of us have a little experience in real world aviation too. Even though we are still relatively new as a group, we are growing and striving to offer a relaxed but professional atmosphere for our pilots. We believe that aviation as a whole requires patience, dedication and knowledge to master...it doesn't matter what you are flying. The basic principles are all the same. We want to be able to offer our pilots the ability to fly whatever scenario he or she may want to fly in the flight simulator.
