"Saab 340 & something special"
Hello again, here's a new shot from the Saab 340 project,
showing the pedestal. The last picture shows a new little
project I started alongside, took me an evening. It's the
Turbine Legend, a kitplane that is a twin-seat, turbine powered performer. Does cruise at over 250 KTAS at FL200. For more
information check out <http://www.performanceaircraft.com> or
<http://turbinelegend.net>

I'll upload it soon!

Pontus

Hi
The Saab 340 is looking good! I can't wait for it.
That little plane lloks like a lot of fun.
Keep up the good work.
Mike

If it does not register on the Richter Scale then it's a good landing.

Looks really great Pontus!

Maybe I have to leave my "GA only" policy after all
Hope to see this one in SAS colours...

What software do you use to make 3D a/c models and get them into Fly! format? And 3D panels?
The work you share with us is really inspiring and I've got time enough so it's time to check if I've got the talent and stamina to at least produce a tiny GA aircraft
I'm hooked on the idea to "copy" existing aircrafts as close as possible.

I use 3d studio max. I make the panels by drawing a sketch first with adobe illustrator, then exporting it to 3ds max where I extrude the buttons etc. After that I complete the Illustrator drawing and use it as a texture. It's simple and
the result is good and accurate.

8. "RE: Saab 340 & something special"
Clever, thanks Pontus!
Sounds as I need to invest in Illustrator also
And for the a/c model? I assume 3d studio max as you got that one, but what software to use to get all the way to the acm file?

Sure you can contact me, I'll be glad to help if I can.

And for Tommy : I use the s3d exporter found here at avsim and then just use the Fly II keyframe editor and import the s3d file.

Any other tips or links to tutorial you would recommend?

Kind regards from a snowy and stormy Skåne - weather just made for simming and desingwork

So that's why the snow never came up to us! Well, I might cope with that, as it seems to generate good results for us Fly!ers.

Is it possible to ask for a 2K version of the SAAB 340? I'm not into II yet. But whenever I get so far, it will be a pleasure.
