AVSIM Online Partnership Entry Form

After over two years of online service to the aviation simulation community, AVSIM Online has been fortunate to have become partnered with some of the best sites in our hobby. Our partnership program is one of quality and our partners represent a serious dedication to the simming community. We screen each applicant for a partnership position to determine their site's suitability. Sometimes we have to say no. Here are some things we look for in a partnership request, and we suggest that you consider these before you submit an application:

  • How old is a site? Has it only been in existance a short while? Sites come and go like the wind, and we will consider the age of a site to see how well established the site is and what focus it has grown to have.
  • Does the site have loyalties or obvious connections with others who might object to an AVSIM Partnership (i.e.; "sponsored by", "hosted by", "partners with", "team mates of", etc.)? If yes, then we ask that the applicant either drop that relationship, or inform in advance the other partner site that they are going to apply for an AVSIM Partnership. It there is an objection from the other partner site, then we will not consider an application unless the issue is resolved by you. Once you apply here, you are effectively stating that there are no issues with others your site might be involved with. If we find that not to be the case, we remove the site from our partnership listings. Why do we take this position? We have been involved in too many petty squabbles about this over the years, and are tired of them. This way, the onus is upon the applicant to work these issues out before they request an AVSIM Partnership.
  • Is the applicant just looking for space or resources? If all you are looking for is a space to park your web site, then please, don't put us through the work of saying no. Our partnerships mean something; to us, the community and to our partners. Please don't apply if you don't sincerely intend to add to the quality of the AVSIM Partnership program.
  • Is your site dynamic? If your site does not provide dynamic content and is not updated on a frequent basis, then we ask ourselves how relevant the site might be 1 month, two months or a year down the road. If it isn't dynamic, then we look to see what other benefit the site may bring to the general Partnership program.
  • Do you have a pre-existing link to AVSIM Online? If you weren't impressed enough to have linked to AVSIM in the past, then why are you applying for a Partnership now?
  • Quality and professionalism are extremely important. We understand that not everyone is an HTML or web guru (as a partner, we can help you with your site if you need assistance), but does the content itself reflect these qualities? If not, then you might want to have us take a look at your site before you make an application here.

AVSIM Online receives dozens of requests for Partnerships every month. We use the following form to determine your site's candidacy and possible inclusion in our Partnership Program. Please read all questions carefully, and note that all fields must be filled out and questions answered in order to be considered. Thank you for taking the time to submit your request.
