Virtual Airlines
On the Internet In the Flight Sim community Virtual Airlines (VA) are setting up to help Flight Simulator Pilots live out their ambitions of being Real Airline Pilots. Some of these airlines cater for Cargo some for Charter some for Scheduled Services. Some copy the Real World Airlines. Basically the pilot will pick a flight from the Virtual Airline Timetable. The pilot will then fly it and report it to the VA. The pilot will be then placed on the roster and ranked according to their hours completed.
My Aim is to Promote Virtual Airline Friendship and Help Throughout the World.
Recently I was accused of possibly devaluing a real world airline by having logos on my site. I also faced a threat of legal action. I was told not to use the their name. As a result of this I cannot provide links to Virtual Airlines that use Real World Airline names or logos that can confuse with Real World Airlines. I believe this is a childish attitude by real world airlines and heavy handed. it is yet another unprovoked attack on the internet Flight Sim Community.
If anyone is starting a Virtual Airline please take this as a friendly bit of advice. Do not use Real Airline names or logos without permission of the Real World airline. It will save you time and possibly from being sued.
For those of you looking for a Virtual Airline, most of the big Flight Sim sites have a Virtual Airlines section for you to find a Virtual Airline. I run my own Virtual Airline as well as the Flight School. You are welcome to look round it for ideas or to join if wish. Press the aircraft to link to my site or to the other sites below. There is even a Virtual Air Traffic Control Organization where pilots can fly online with ATC. This organization is known as VATSIM. There are many Virtual Airlines registered on there for you to join.
