| This is the scenery of the
municipal island airport of Syros in Greece, serving the beautiful
aegean island of Cyclades, the closest one to Athens city. It was
finished in 1993 and consists of a small 1080m runway, enough for the
turboprops that serve the island, and a small apron able to
accommodate up to 2 simultaneous regional turboprops. The runway is
built on elevated terrain with hills on final approach of one
direction and a cliff dropping down on the other direction. There is
no instrument approach for the airport and its visual approach is
demanding due to terrain morphology especially at night. The scenery
comes with an easy to install autoinstaller. |
