Requirements:
In order to become one of our pilots and start flying for Olympic Airways Virtual
the only thing that you have to do is just to send us the needed information
through the Recruitment sub page. Allow us one week maximum and we will get
back to you with your assigned callsign (OAVXXX). If you are already a member
of the Hellenic vACC and you are
flying with a specific callsign (e.g. OAL 114 or OAV 114) then we will assign
to you the same callsign. From that moment you will be free to start flying
for Olympic Airways Virtual as a second officer with Dash 8, ATR42 or ATR72.
After 20 on line logged hours with these types of aircrafts you will receive
an e-mail from OAV's management which will promote you to first officer and
will allow you to fly also with the B712. This will happen every time that you
will manage to log the needed hours for promotion.
Special flights:
Olympic Airways virtual has a Special Flights Schedule, available from here. This schedule is based on the connection flights that the real Olympic Airways has in Europe. You may fly these 83 flights as special flights (only) and submit them through our OAV_Flights tool, by using the relevant button. Do not forget to include the Flight number, as well as the "From" and "To" airports as they are in this schedule.
You will notice that in the column "Suggested flight plan" some cells are shaded and some others are not. That means that the NON shaded ones do not have a confirmed flight plan yet. Updated versions of this schedule will follow.
For your convenience we have prepared also the flight plans in FS2004 and in FSNavigator format.
You may fly these flights any day of the week with any type of aircraft you like BUT as they are special flights they will not count in your promotions..only in your total hours!!!
Do not forget that in order to download all the previous files you have to be a member of our discussion list in the yahoogroups and of course one of our registered pilots.
HAVE A NICE TIME!!!
