Where did Feb/March go? I think it is becoming more and more obvious that my responsibilities at www.flightdecksolutions.com are taking all my sim building time. Steve and I are discussing some ideas for next month once my Wife and I are moved into our new place. I should end up with a bit more space and that is also the perfect time to relook at things. Part of what we may do is set up prototypes of FDS items and test/fly them. We are also discussing a large project that would require the web page to be changed to something like www.classicairlinersim.com! We'll see. Exploring. Since Matt Olieman has taken the torch and run with it the parts are in excellent hands and we can pull out some others that we have from another era. Here is an updated pic of our old shell and parts in some very capable hands. Matt has been hard at work and just finished mounting his ELITE series Overhead.
My local Builder/Friend Bruce asked me to post a projector that is for sale. I have seen this unit running and it is "Boardroom" quality. It is in need of a bulb but other than that it is in excellent shape and well cared for. If you are interested email Bruce at dbday@rogers.com . Her are a few pics of the unit:
Last but not least. Likely I will start migrating parts of the A320Project over to the newly revised www.flightdecksolutions.com page as I want to increase the level of support available there. This page will stay up as long as AVSIM allows. Knowing them its here for a long time. Great guys and so supportinve of our hobby. I will continue to update here so check back. Plan on seeingsome news from us in April. I am sure we will be on our way with something. PC |

Happy New Year to everyone... Just back from a much needed break and have a few updates to point people to. The biggest one is Ron W's King Air. Ron has joined me over at FDS and is now in the building phase on his King Air Project. This guy moves quick! Please follow this link. On our project we are in a holding cycle for the next while until FDS development slows down. There is a certain Interface that I am working on with a "Guru" and I need to get this out! More updates any day I hope. Looking forward to seeing more project updates over the next few months. |

Been super busy on developing new parts at FDS and have updated the page over there with new items including: A320/340 pushpull rotary emcoder modules, B767 MIPs, FCU Knobs, B737 and A320 Window Kits... Lots of new things. On the builder side, Pascal sent me his latest update, really worth a look! Here. I am doing a lot of cleaning up around the house (hangar?) and will be posting alot of parts and pieces that have been collecting dust. Might be worth a look. Expect to see this next week. Likely on the FDS page. |

Please allow me to introduce a new Builder/Friend. Okan is from Switzerland and working on an A320 Setup. See here for pics. Achim Bethke (My "Right Hand Man at FDS) updated his page with some thoughts on PSS A320 and simbuilding.. He also talks about an interesting project that is in the works.. Here |

Just back from the UK after a week long trip. Nice to get out on the road again. Its been awhile. I had the chance to meet Achim while I was there and that was excellent. Achim had a list of things that I am supposed to have out by now! So true. This week I am all over the A320 Throttles. Several small things to finalize and get them into the hands of many builders who have patiently awaited. I thank you. The InterfaceIT system needs an FAQ page as well. Fast! On another note, I did suceed in making the first Key Kit "Holder" parts for the FDS parts. So far the builders had to fabricate some sort of holding system for the Key kits we have been supplying. These new holders make that a thing of the past. I am going through the various kits now and updating them. See here for a look at how we are chasing this. It just might solve alot of the problems many of us have had. Some very nice updates on several pages. Pascal V shows some of his handiwork with the FDS MIP setup. Very nice and worth looking at. Pascal has also shown how he integrates the Plexi backers into his pedestal and gives them a very realistic appearance. Pascal is fast becoming one of the "Premier" builders out here. Another excellent B747 builder updated his page as well, always worth a trip over to Nihads to see whats cooking there! Last but not least, my good friend Robert Prather is sitting on a few new parts. Literally! Here.

While building here is at a standstill I must admit that it is becoming a new hobby just posting all the amazing updates I am seeing on the web. Pascal V updated his page showing the B747 MIPs in place and the pics look very slick! Nicely done. Pascal has been updating every step of the way and if you are a B747 fan this is a great site to check out. Try here. On the other side of the globe my friend Lambis is working hard on the first FDS B777 Throttle kit. Lambis has been a huge help in getting these out so fast and we are now working on the Grips. Please look here for an update. Over at Flightdeck Solutions We are a week or so away from the first B767-300 series NOVA Parts coming out We are working on the FDS/InterfaceIT unit. You should be seeing details this week! The King Air is almost set for production... We recently won a contract to provide a B777 Overhead to a large Aerospace company. Very exciting. We will be supplying an "Elite" series setup that will eventually be available at FDS. Lots on the go. If only there was some time left over for building! |

As Fall settles in we are bound to see a large amount of building going on around the globe. We are happy to show a new page that went up recently. Please take a look at Pascal's B747 Project Page. Here On the FDS end of things I am working on: A320 throttles, B767 Main/Glare and 3D MIPs, King Air, Cessna, Key kits for the B747 and B777... List goes on!!! Our project is slowed by the FDS activity. On the positive side we are watching some amazing projects go together and its a pleasure to see so many NOVA part users! |

On the development front. Interface. Working. Details soon. Very proud of what Brent has done. Be comfortable knowing that we are on track. If we stay at the current pace you will be able to wire up your sims easily and be flying. Thank you to Brent! Throttles for the A320 are progressing with Rick S helping out. The B777 Throttle Housing Kit is done and in final test with Lambis. Here is an overview illustration I did up that shows the layout for the Cessna kit to be launched at our FDS page. This is looking like a really great project for those General aviation fans... Space is certainly no issue!

Good day to everyone. In North America it is a somber day as we reflect back to last year. Alot has been going on aroud here in the background. Updates may not reflect that. One key thing is the addition of Ron W to our FDS team. We are now going full steam into General Aviation Panel/MIP sets and Ron will be the Team Leader on that. Our intial plan is to have Ron go forward on a King Air as well as advise on a few Cessna kits that we have been approached on. Very happy to see Ron getting involved as he brings a great deal of experience and excellent ideas. Second, I have been working 14 hour days for the past three weeks designing, producing and delivering Trainers at my day job. 12 Trainers based on my Paper Trainer Modules with some hardware added. This has taxed my time for FDS as well as my suppliers as they are involved as well. All those waiting orders please know that I am going as fast as I can to fill the backlog and will see alot coming in over the next week or so. Please email if you have any concerns.

he doesn't mind sharing the experience. So glad he is doing that
here. Please follow this link to get a glimpse into what was involved

Uh.. where did July go?
Unreal! I have been quite busy on numerous fronts and that is
certainly cutting into my Sim Building time. I need to plan a
few big days of building around here. More L1011 parts arrived
this week and they will be stripped clean of all the goodies I
need. Planning on making some major changes to the sim over the
next month. I put a pic up on the PICS40 page showing Brent (Interface
Developer) demonstrating the LED Output unit.. Works like a charm
. Pretty exciting seeing this in my face and working. We were
changing the Alt/VS/HDG/SPD parameters in FS... Next we install
and run checks. See here.

Steve and I have been working on numerous projects
together and will try to update them shortly. Looks like we will
be supplying some panel parts for a major motion film being shot
in our area. More on that once we get some of the items done.
Beyond that, on the career side of things, the Illustration Division
I am orchestrating at my day job is now on-line. The start of
the Atlantis Illustrations web page is on line. You can see some
of this here. Keep in mind this is primarily for Airlines and
Training Centers. Posters will be soon be available.2 Last but
not least. Ron W sent in a few shots of the Flightdeck Solutions
MCDU Kit that he tested for us. The MCDU and CDU kits will be
available starting next week. See here for

Just when you thought we had vanished! Back! The past month has been a real whirlwind. I was gone overseas to visit my Wife's family for a few weeks and then on to Frankfurt for the Flightdeck Solutions (FDS) Sim Builder Show (see here for the latest report). The Frankfurt Event was fantastic and we had over 50 eager builders there. Very special thanks to Achim Bethke for all his hard work on behalf of FDS putting this event together. Also, thanks to our friend Marc Teichtal for his contribution in time, travel and presentation. Next we are looking at Amsterdam and are already lining up speakers and ideas! If you have any thoughts on this please email me. A big part of the Flightdeck Solutions/A320 Project philosophy is to put back into this great hobby and this sort of event is an example of that. Ok, Updates! PICS 37 HERE!!! When you have time, Achim has updated the FDS page to show the new Annunciator Kits we are now offering. These are very common in the B737NG as well as the B747 and B777. CDU kits should be shown later this week as well. The throttle page was updated (A320) and I am reworking some things after some great input from fellow builders in Frankfurt. Still planning on releasing the throttles in two forms. KIT forma nd assembled. We will make sure that the builders doing it themselves will see a great break on price as the labour end is the costliest. More info Soon! Mechansim is in the works right now and we are working through the DETENTES and several other key areas. For those of you that are still waiting for parts to arrive I have got the whip out right now and have been pushing very hard to expedite. Several orders went out Monday and I have more MIPs arriving this weekend which will help with the bulk of the rest. Next time I leave for three weeks I have to put a"Gone Fishing" sign on the door! My apologies for not being as quick lately! Update on Nihad's B747 Project is available here as well. Worth seeing this coming together for you B747 fans If you are a NOVA User and want to have your project shown on the A320 Project and/or the www.flightdecksolutions.com web page email us! We are always eager to see the work being done and sharing with our fellow builders! |

Over the past few months we have had the pleasure of
working with our new friends at MPC Products. These folks manufacture
aircraft parts and needed a platform to showcase them in. In their
travels they came across the A320Project and our NOVA panels.
A few phone calls, a visit to see our sim and some back and forth
emailing and a whole lot of work brought us all to this point.

WOW!!! Achim updated his page today and is showing a radical new configuration on his sim. Worth a look! See Here! Keep an eye on this page as we unveil one of the nicest applications to date of the NOVA Series Panels. You B737NG Fans want to stay tuned... We will update this weekend. Frankfurt, May 11th. If you have even an inkling of attending make sure you contact Achim. He is doing a fantastic job of tracking things and we are expecting a fantastic weekend of discussion and comraderie. More information is available on his webpage as well as the new http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/ page. This new webpage is devoted to the Panels that we are making and offering to our fellow builders. Achim has been working closely with me on this and handling German and French speaking builders. This week we are both proud to announce that we have added Sam Verhoeven to our small group to cover our Dutch Speaking Builder/Friends. The Flightdeck Solutions page is in ints infancy still but over the next month or so you will see it grow. Watch for the B717 and EMB145 kits to arrive soon! Almost ready to launch these types. Numerous accessory pieces are being prepared and almost ready for show. |

Tuesday night around here is building night and today
we managed to get two major thigns accomplished. Steve, Rona and
I wired up the Rudder Pedals and have them working now. This is
a real treat for us as we have been staring at them for ages.
Special thanks to Peter Dowson for making life so easy. Second
accomplishment was getting the old Suncom throttles wired in to
the sim to hold us over until my own set are ready. I have been
slowly designing and making parts. First part came in last week
and is on pics35
if you want to see. I can make these available if you need. Any
aircraft type actually. We are also working on our interface some
more next week and should be able to have more info on that shortly.
Big steps are just around the corner. LAST! You HAVE to see Robert
Prathers update. This is outstanding. I Was so proud to see the
NOVA panels in the middle of this project and in such capable
hands. I have known Robert for years now and love to see his steps.
This one is huge and worth checking out here.

Well, another year rolls around and building progresses slowly. Special thanks to the numerous builder/friends who have patiently waitied for panels ove the past while. PRoduction is back up to full speed and lots of new parts showing up every day. The PICS 29 Page has some NEW B747 NOVA Parts. First time to see those HERE. More updates coming soon on our Interface System. WE have enlisted the aid of a very capable Software specialist who is moving forward quickly on a setup that will allow us to have full functionality in our sim. Key Command, Rotary selectors, Encoders, LEDs etc.. We will test this with a few ey builders and once satisfied that things are what everyone needs we will make them available. Lots of great things around the corner in this area. We are ready to start our wiring of the Glare Panels here so timing is perfect. Throttles. Everyone is asking me about building these and I am studying this area closely. Steve and I are eager to make our own for the sim and once that is done and functional ther is no reason why we cannot build more. Boeing too... Lots to do .. back at it!!! PC |

TIME FLIES! Looked on the page and realized I had not updated anything. I think that September was a month that really had many of us looking at many other things in our lives. I know I certainly did. Our thoughts go out to the many victims on New York and Washington. Project Updates: My father in law has come and gone and with that left behind some interesting circuit designs. One that he is drawing out for me to share withyou is a "Rotary Selector" circuit that allows you to have a 4, 5 or 6 position selector (Magenta, EFIS Mode Selector for example) work directly into a keyboard. This is a pretty slick trick actually. This alongside the "Multi Key" circuit that he did up. I will add a tutorial on these two circuits once I get drawings and some input from him on functionality. These circuits certainly do not replace EPIC or Keyboard encoders but do make a viable alternative especially when you are just starting out. Other News: Andreas M, a builder in Germany is showing a pic or two of his B777 project built using our Standard Series B777 kit. Looks fantastic! I was really impressed. More pics Andreas! www.schiratti.com/magenta/users/amaurer.jpg Hiroshi Yabuki, Has posted a web page showing his B777 project that started with our B777 Standard Kit. We lost track of this gentleman and then presto! What a project! This is a must see web page! http://www.fs21.com/fs-e.htm Achim B is updating his project regularly and it is looking exceptional. Nova panels in use there and some very serious building! Link Here CRJ NOVA Kits are starting to come together and we will be going into Production shortly. We are also looking at the B717 (which is truly an amazing subject for building. Super clean and we have great data to work with. RonW and I are still going over the Biz Jet setup and think that we have what is likely the perfect "Small" project subject. Something that will not require a monumental amount of space to build. We are also working carefully on functionality to allow for simple wiring and configurations. WATCH for a fantastic A320 Panel announcement shortly. I have a great new concept coming together and wil be showing that any day now... More News/Pics Soon |

Our first B777 "NOVA" panels have arrived! This is a set that we were excited to get going. So many folks love this aircraft type and after sitting in on a landing in one I can tell you its a beauty to see up close. Pilots love it as well. Check HERE to see the first panels! On another note, Take a look at the LAS Web page. My pal Patrick has developed a circuit you can buy that well allow you keyboard controller builders to add rotary control! This is a very big step. Check this link.

MAJOR UPDATE in the pics section as Steve and I finished cutting out the windows in the shell and trial fit our NOVA Panels. Totally new look to the project. Check Here. On another note, I managed to locate a supplier for the AML Caps. Black. I can engrave them for your project if you need. One of the things that we are suggesting to builders is to use "CAPS" only for Overhead applications if you have no functionality. Many of you have talked about not building an overhead due to switch cost. Our though is to use "Fake" switches by substituting simple Caps that are engraved. Looks like we can supply engraved caps for $2-3us each. Some lead time is required but if you need any help on this Email me for info. |

Just received the first full A320 NOVA Panel set with Optional Plexi Backers. For those that were asking you can see them here. This week we are expecting another B737NG to come in and we will be able to post some more pics. For those that were asking about pricing that will be confirmed later this week. Slightly more than the A320 due to the added Overhead Panels required. On the Project end of things Steve, Ron and I are planning on getting the rest of the windows cut out of the shell this coming week. Looking forward to seeing that completed then its on to the Overhead Panels and mounting the framework. Over and above that, Ron Wiens should be dropping by soon to give us a hand on our networking setup. Nice having an expert nearby! |

Posted final pricing on our new NOVA SERIES A320 Panels. These panels
have been in the works for quite awhile and shipping started last
week. Several happy customers so far! I want to thank them for
their confidence and patience. Looking forward to posting some
pics as they progress. We are now able to get switches for almost
all the Airbus NOVA Series parts we sell. MCDU switches square
, round and rectangular are on order and will be made available
through the page. We are dealing with a large distributor so we
should be able to offer affordable pricing. This is very excitingt!
The next step is to finish the first of two B737NG kits we are
working on. Almost ready to unveil them! Likely late this week
or early next for pics. The first we saw was on target!! We also
cut out our first window in the Shell . Click here for a large
pic of that!!! PIC1

Another update shot from Ron. Steve and I are starting the building
process again this week. Our new "NOVA" Series panels will be
in early next week so we are planning on painting up the lettering
on them and replanning the pedestal and overhead around them.
Also, hoping to get back into the Shell part of the sim and get
that out for finishing. Check the RonW link for a pic

More page updating going on. Managed to update the B737NG page to detail some of the layout work done. So many folks have asked about this aircraft type so here it is! |

Just returned from visiting our friend over at the Aerospace

parts are not needed in our sim (We have them already!) but we
knew that there would be of interest for others. Take a look at

I forgot how much time a full time job takes away from this
hobby! My apologies for the lack of updates. Steve and I are both
swamped with job things, myself starting a new one two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Ron is delivering more shots by the week and we posted
them on his page (See below)... Fantastic. I am working on new
a new panel series with him and we will be updating folks soon
on that. Looking good though.

Ron sent in two new shots of his setup and they look great. See Ron's pics here. On a different note, I am going to be introducing the A340 kit in the next week or so. I have been talking to a major airline and they have agreed to let me bid on some work for them. This will require a visit to the A340. Fingers are crossed on that one but eitehr way we have the Overhead and Pedestal sections finished and simply need to work on the Center ECAM and Ouboard Main panel sections. We have had several eager people asking about this configuration so I am happy to have it available. Check here for a preview shot of the Overhead. |

Updated the B777 kit page with some shots (not great I am
afraid) showing the laminate and wood parts that arrived tonight.
This kit is our first Boeing aircraft so it was exciting seeing
this Tan colored laminate all over the basement. Looks like we
will be cranking up the drawing program to finish up any loose
ends on the B747 with our first customer rarin to go.. Keep an
eye for that page to get updated. If anyone has any questions
feel free to ICQ me or email using the above link. I am working
on a FAQ page and that should be up soon...
Quick update on the CRJ Kit page showing the laminate and lettering parts that arrived for Scott and Kye who are prototyping the first two kits. The results are really something and I look forward to seeing them in the hands of these two very capable builders. Scott's page is linked on the "Kits" page. Kye is planning his page now and we'll post that link when its up and running (no pressure Kye!) |

NEW! Kit types! After spending the last few months documenting and drawing I am ready to launch two new aircraft types. First we have the ever popular B737NG. The NGs are the -600/700/800 and 900 series with full glass cockpits. These kits are great in that we can offer something smaller than the other kits we currently sell. Space is always a concern. One of the options we are looking at is an 80% scale version that would allow you to get into even smaller spaces and build a full sim! The second type is one that we started after several requests... The B747-400, this beauty will be the same physical size as the B777. Please take a moment to see our good Friend Scott Napier's fantastic CRJ project. Excellent progress on this project! Please also take a look at Ron W's pics section for an updated pic on his center pedestal.

Our builder friend Ron sent us an updated shot of his center
pedestal and once again the attention to detail is evident. Ron
is focusing on several key areas and one of them is the throttle.
Ron is using the "Suncom" throttle and after seeing it up close
I have to agree with him that its a fantastic product. Feels great!
Check out this pic.
Thanks for the update Ron!

I feel so lucky having myself involved in this amazing hobby. Met so many great guys and all so passionate about building, can't beat it. Today I received some pics from my prototyping friend Scott N and I got that warm, fuzzy feeling agian just liek I did seeing Rons, Alessandros or Joe's sim coming together. This one is especially nice since its the new CRJ kit and we had one shot at meauring this aircraft (thanks AC Pilot "R"! and thanks to JM). Please have a look at all the fun Scott is having at his house now that his wood panel parts arrived! Links here. Looks like Scott is starting a page too! Pic1, Pic2, Pic3 & Pic4 which is something about a Yoke or something, us Airbus guys are not too familiar with this yoke thing! Thanks for sharing these Scott, hmm.. logo, need to do up a CRJ logo.. hmmmm... |
