I took a few minutes to mount the new "3D Nova MIPs" in the Sim to checek the fit. Almost perfect. We need to adjust a few minor things like the landing gear selector (Needs to be moved to the right). Next I will print out some Standby Guages that were drawn up ages ago and get them in place. (Dean Nandy did an excellent job on his, see our links page) Below the MIPs we will be making "Fake Shelves" to look like the real MIP setup. You can also see the Caps are missing on the Glare parts as they are off being engraved.

Another shot of the New Main Panele in place. We need to work on the finishing elements to get them perfectly to our liking but they are very close.

Here is a shot of the EFIS and FCU Panels from our sim. My father in Law (Adrian) has gone ahead and mounted the Miyama switches into the plexi backers. The FCU also shows some AML type switches which we will be engraving shortly. Still examining the MIYAMA types regarding engraving or decals. Will update on that shortly. The Radio Management Panel will be an important panel while we start to add functionality. We plan on integrating it into our sim in a way similar to the real aircraft. We have no functional MCDUs just yet so we will utilize the RMP for NAV/COMM frequency adjustment.

Steve and Ron worked more on monitors and managed to get all three Main Instrument Panel covers in place as well. As you can see we have turned on the PFD/ND. We are hapy to announce that we will be utilizing Project Magenta software. We looked at various issues prior to deciding what to go with and felt that PM offered us a complete solution that we could grow with. Special thanks to Jonathan and Enrico for their patience and expediency while we got configured. This is a top notch group of people and we are very happy to be a part of the growing PM group of builders utilizing this extraordinary software. We will certainly report back more on this topic as we gain experience. One thing I can say is that setup was actually a breeze. Far easier than I had thought.

You can tell Steve is mesmorized by the view! Great shot showing the "Lit Up" flightdeck with Project Magenta running.

Ron and Steve checking out the layout. Still so much work to do but it was certainly a milestone day at the A320Project!

A straight on shot with Steve and Ron inside. I was trying to catch them with the lights off and only the glow of the PFD/NDs but that did not work. More practice needed. .
