membermap population where are you?

There are only two AVSIM Members in Alaska? One in the Yukon? What do you guys do in the winter? No, we don't accept that excuse either... What about no one in Mexico? Only five in all of Brazil? Only one person in Argentina? No one in Chile? Four people in India? One person each in Malaysia and Singapore? No one in Greenland? Really? There's a whole flight group that lives there! Okay, folks we're obviously trying to get you to put your location on our member's map. You are not going to reveal any personal secrets, and your old girlfriends, spouses, significant others, will not be able to hunt you down... Put your location in the MemberMap and show the world that your country, area, region, and nationality are proudly shown! You can join the member map here.

Look up in the top right corner. You will find a black box labled "Add Your Location".

I've been here since I dont know... a while... been member of Flightsim since early nineties, I find it impossible to believe prior to this article, that there was only one other member besides me.. that's absurd..
Interest in PMDG alone garners many - in this the flying-est of all 50 states.. LOL
who knows, maybe I'm not one whose being counted... ;)

FORM A GROUP!!! GO here: http://forum.avsim.net/groups/. That way, all Alaska simmers could congregate and setup events, dinners, fly-ins or whatever! It's there; a great feature, and free to use. You can set up a group immediately as a registered member of AVSIM! Go for it!

That goes for any other region, country, city, town or principality! Set up a GROUP and get your fellow simmers together!

I love Alaska. I was there for the Good Friday earthquake in 1963. My grade school was destroyed and slid down a hill. Fortunately, the earthquake struck at about 5:30 pm and we were home. Still the strongest earthquake ever recorded by man. I remember walking down to the river with my "Snoopy" fishing pole and catching huge rainbow trout.

Lived right on the flight line at Elmendorf and watched the afterburners on the F104's during the Cuban missile crisis. Ahhh .... good times.

This needs to stay at the top of the front page. The numbers in areas still seem kind of small for locations around the world especially in my area where I know there's more the 6 people in the whole metro area into FS. Either way it took man thousands of years to figure out flight and it wasn't until the last century we really developed it. Now the world seems so indifferent to it (even space flight). Who would have thought this could happen. You'd think people would consistently be all over aviation and pushing for us harder to get out into space on a more serious level (we haven't went back to the moon since the 1972). Real interest and the marvel of getting off terra ferma has just dropped off...
