How Do I Change the Pro Pilot Start Up Flight? Submitted for the FAQ by Scott Brazell The first thing you need to do is use Windows Explorer to search for the startup.flt file under your propilot/flight/flights folder. Right-click on this file and select properties and make sure the read-only attribute IS NOT set. If it is set, remove the checkmark. This is the point where you should rename startup.flt or move it to another folder. You might rename it something like start1.flt remembering that that is the name of your original startup filght. I like to use the name origstartup.flt. The "orig" stand for "original" . The reason for this is you will be naming your own airport and preferences in startup.flt when you get back into Pro Pilot. Now load up Propilot and set all your preferences the way you want them. Use the Airspace menu to select an airport and move your plane there. Once everything is set the way you want it, look under the Planning menu and select Save Flight. When the save dialog box comes up, just give it the name of startup and save. This will be used as the default each time you start. DO NOT START OR LEAVE THE ENGINE(S) RUNNING. THIS MAY CRASH THE PROGRAM. Mickey W. And The Numerous Named Contributors All Rights Reserved ![]() |
