This FAQ is not maintained, supported, nor verified by Sierra/Dynamix. Therefore, this information is subject to Sierra's Policies. The information in this FAQ is assembled from my best interpretation of Sierra's policies. However, you should consult Sierra for specific information regarding rebates, refunds, or return of their product. I am not responsible for misinterpretation of Sierra's policies (after all, I'm human, and not an expert at legal mumbo-jumbo deciphering) and am not liable for any inaccuracies it may contain. Whew. :-)

Does ProPilot '99 Offer a Rebate to Previous Users of the ProPilot Simulator Series?

Offer Expires March 31, 1999!
Sierra offers a $20 rebate to users of ProPilot '98 or ProPilot USA. To obtain this rebate do the following:
  1. Round up your ProPilot '98 or ProPilot USA CDs
  2. Make a photo-copy of your dated sales receipt (you have to send in the original receipt.)
  3. Cut-out the ProPilot '99 $20 Rebate Coupon from the ProPilot '99 Getting Started booklet on page 58
  4. Print your name, address, and phone number on the coupon
  5. Mail your ProPilot '98 or ProPilot USA CDs, original dated sales receipt, and the coupon to:

  6. Allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery of your rebate.
The following is taken directly from the ProPilot '99 Getting Started Manual, page 58:

If you have questions regarding qualifying for this offer, or want to know the status of your rebate, call 1-800-942-8618, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM Central Time except holidays. No rebates will be authorized over the phone.

Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery of your rebate. This offer allows one $20.00 rebate per coupon. Offer good only in the 50 United States, District of Columbia, and Canada. Offer not valid in U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam. OFFER EXPIRES MARCH 31, 1999. Coupons must be received by April 30, 1999. Only original coupons will be accepted. This offer cannot be combined with any other rebate offer on this product. Rebate not valid on product acquired directly from Sierra or any OEM product bundles. Limit one rebate per person. Cash redemption value 1/ 100 of 1 cent. All rebate checks will be remitted in U.S. currency only. Void where prohibited. Coupons valid only to end user. Not available to resellers.

Can I Return ProPilot '99 if I'm not satisfied with it?
Sierra offers a "30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE" to ProPilot '99 buyers.

If you're not satisfied with ProPilot '99, and want to return it for a refund, do the following:
  1. Round up the following ProPilot '99 items:
    • The ProPilot '99 CD's
    • The ProPilot '99 Flight Companion manual
    • The ProPilot '99 Quick Reference guide
    • The ProPilot '99 Getting Started booklet
  2. Make a photo-copy of your dated sales receipt (you have to send in the original receipt).
  3. Stuff 'em into a padded envelope, and address it to:

  4. Make certain it's postmarked within 30 days of the date on your sales receipt.

30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
The Promise: We want you to be happy with every Sierra product you purchase from us. If for any reason you are unhappy with the product, return it within 30 days for an exchange or a full refund...EVEN IF YOU BOUGHT IT AT A RETAIL STORE. (Hardware ordered direct must be returned within ten days.).

The Only Catch: You have to tell us why you didn't like the game. We will forward your comments to the appropriate departments for considerations of further developments. It is our commitment to make things right, and make them right for you. (If you bought it at a retail outlet, please send your original sales receipt.)

I've got a bad CD, or have lost the documentation, what should I do?
First, triple-check the Installation part of this FAQ for common installation problems. If you don't see an answer to your installation problem in the FAQ, you should post your problem to the message forum. It's likely that someone else may have experienced the same problem as you, and has an answer.

If you're certain your CD is defective, there are two different replacement methods.

To replace your CD for free, you must return the CD, and a copy of your dated sales receipt, within 90 days to:

If you need to replace your CD, and it's after 90 days from the date of purchase, you must return the CD, and $10 for a handling fee (payment must be check or money order, and made at the time of your request. Credit Cards are not accepted.), to:

If you've misplaced/lost your User Manuals, you'll need to send $5 for a handling fee (payment must be check or money order, and made at the time of your request. Credit Cards are not accepted.), plus a photo-copy ONLY of CD#1, and a brief letter requesting 'User Documentation replacement for ProPilot 99' to:
