Screenshot Tribute to FS2002
Part 7

Most modern military aircraft were developed during the height of the Cold War, but military aircraft have evolved and continue to evolve despite the collapse of the Soviet Union, as wars are still being fought and enemies are still out there. When it comes to FS2002, there are no shortages of military aircraft for you to choose from. From a little Cessna Bird-dog up to a giant Lockheed C-5 Galaxy and everything in between.

I'm sure most would agree, the quantity and the quality of the available military aircraft, for FS2002, has been nothing short of astonishing and though most are downloadable as freeware, many excellent examples of various military aircraft can be downloaded from the payware publishers as well. LAGO, Captain Sim, Alpha Simulations all offer several high quality payware military aircraft, but regardless there are more than you can shake a stick at in the freeware catagory also.

Flying a military aircraft, whether that be a fighter, a bomber, or a large transport, its all a part of the fun of flight simming in FS2002. There is even a downloadable file (from Rich Hogan) where you can have authentically working aircraft carrier catapult and arrester cables, a real challenge to even the most experienced flight simmer!

I present the following screenshots without comment, but I will say they merely scratch the surface of what is available to you.
