It's Friday Morning, September 19th at 9:00AM EDT. Last night Hurricane Isabel roared up the Eastern Seaboard, leaving several million without power. Although the Reading, Pennsylvania area was spared the brunt of the store, we felt it would be prudent to move the virtual version of the B-25 Mitchell Briefing Time from its hangar at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum to safer quarters. Now that the storm has passed it's your job this morning to return the B-25 to her hanger in Reading.

This morning the sky has cleared to broken cumulous clouds and a temperature in the sixties. The hurricane has left some quite unstable air in its wake however. Winds are gusting to over 20 knots out of the east with moderate chop as you begin your crosswind approach to Runway 13.

OK... now get lined up and headed for Runway 13 touchdown. Don't forget to kick in some rudder as you come across the threshold to make that perfect crosswind landing. Squeak it down on the asphalt and hundreds of dollars in prizes await you… to say nothing of the thunderous applause and accolades you'll receive from your fellow Avsim simmers.

See you in Reading!
