  1. Hi, recent new user of AAO for MSFS, great little product. One issue I'm having with the PMDG 737 in MSFS is that the option in the FMC to "NEVER" override the autothrottles seems to be not respected when sending the trottle 1 and 2 axis through Lorby AAO (Honeycomb Bravo). So, my FMC has this option set to NEVER, but mid-flight when I move my Bravo throttles, the PMDG throttles actually move, which isn't supposed to happen when this option is set to NEVER. This does work correctly when assigning the throttles axis through the MSFS controls instead of AAO. But with the the MSFS throttle assignment I have another issue since the last PMDG update but that's another story :-). But I'm curious on that A/T NEVER override story and if anybody else is experiencing this with AAO, and if there's a workaround. Many thanks Mathieu
  2. I'm following this topic and taking note that there is not much you can do right now, but just want to say I can confirm I'm having a similar issue. On passing transition altitude, I set the altimeter to standard and say Set Standard. The PM's crosscheck when he says his altitude followed by "NOW" is about 300 feet off, which seems to be that he is reading the P3D altitude (as seen by pressing SHIFT-Z) on the local QNH instead of the pressure altitude at 1013 hPa. Local QNH was 1003 on my test flight so 300ft difference makes sense (30ft per hPa). Using Active Sky as so many others. Hope you can do something about it. Mathieu
  3. Hi, just to follow up on this, has this been addressed since the OP's post ? Thanks
  4. On these links there is an interesting statement, which I wonder if it will affect P3D v4 (either in a positive or negative way)... Any OS guru's can shed some light ? https://pureinfotech.com/windows-10-1909-november-2019-update-features/ https://redmondmag.com/articles/2019/11/12/windows-10-version-1909-released.aspx
  5. Not wanting to hi-jack this thread, but by coincidence I'm also in the market for a new PC and started to configure today. I'm looking into kind of the same components as the OP, so my post and questions might also benefit him. To follow up on the comments by TechguyMaxC, one question regarding the MoBo: would the Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero be a better option ? I read some negative reviews about VRMs, while other reviews seem not to mention them or dismiss the negative critics about them. How about cooling. Is water cooling better than air cooling ? Never had water cooling before so that's why I'm asking. And would you recommend one brand over the other in terms of water cooling (I'm hesitating between Corsair and NZXT). Current config I came up with is here below (not buying a new GPU at this time as I will reuse my current GTX 1080). ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO CORSAIR 16GB 3200MHZ DDR4 DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB CORSAIR HX850I 850W INTEL CORE I9 9900K 3.6-5.0GHZ 16MB 8 CORES 16 THREADS CASE: NZXT H710 BLACK/WHITE NZXT KRAKEN X72 LIQUID CPU COOLER SAMSUNG 1000GB 970 EVO PLUS M.2 NVME PCIE SSD Many thanks for any input.
  6. Hi painters, ASL Airlines recently acquired two 737-800 WL in their fleet (OE-IMC and OE-IMD) and it would be cool if one you painters could make one of these for the PMDG 737-800WL. They previously had only 737-400F as 737 cargo flyers, and although the OO-TNQ (737-400F in real life) exists on AVSIM painted on PMDG 737-800, it would be nice to have one of the "real" 800s in this livery. https://www.planespotters.net/production-list/search?fleet=ASL-Airlines-Belgium&manufacturer=Boeing&subtype=737-800&fleetStatus=current Many thanks to anyone wanting to pick this up. Mathieu
  7. EDIT: dumb me, RAAS was not activated from the PMDG display options page 22. Activated it now, will report if it works on landing. EDIT2: Works. Forget I said anything...
  8. I have the same problem with the 747-400 (latest PMDG update). I do not own the 777 nor the 747-8, nor a stand-alone version of RAAS Pro. RAAS Professional menu entry is loaded in add-ons menu. If I open it, the master "on/off" switch is off. If I enable it, and click close and save, then reopen the menu, the master switch is off again ! Audio test works. Profile list is empty from the load profile menu. In the RAAS dialog, it says B747 at the top (as per the screenshot from bodom here above). Volume slider is in the middle. My runways.csv (created with mkrwys) is up to date with my scenery. Could it be that the latest PMDG update kind of "unlinked" the PMDG 747-400 from the RAAS locked version somehow ?
  9. Yes, what I did was reload the Default "Long" panel state and created a slightly modified version of my own from there. One thing I noticed is that on these new panel states, the captain displays are not set to NORMAL mode but to PFD if I recall correctly (not sitting in front of it right now). Just flipped it to NORMAL, and saved my own version of LONG to a file and then selected this one as default for startup. Regards.

  11. Hello guys, Back in the days when I flew FSX, I owned the RealAir Duke V2 and Lancair Legacy V2, for FSX. When I upgraded to P3D, RealAir had already ceased operations so I never got the chance to update my license to P3D for these birds. Now on the website http://realairsimulations.net one can download the installers for these two products. My question is: does anyone know if I can download and install these products now and install them into P3D (v4.3) using my FSX serial numbers ? - Will that work technically ? - Will that be in line with the license or would I be in breach ? Asking this because the line on their website that got my attention is: This installer is provided only for RealAir customers who have previously purchased the Lancair Legacy V2 for P3D or FSX I interpret this sentence as "anybody holding a license for either FSX or P3D can download and use the installer in any of these simulators"... but maybe I'm mistaken. I don't want to attempt anything that would be in breach of the license agreement so that's why I'm asking first here. Thanks for any replies. Mathieu
  12. Not yet but might have a look if no one else feels like picking it up. Thanks
  13. Hi there painters, I would like to request the 747-400F(ER) of ASL Airlines Belgium (formerly TNT), which operates out of EBLG (Liège). Either the OE-IFB or the OE-IFD would be great. Had a search in the Avsim library but it doesn't exist yet. Liveries are plain white with the logo, but a "weathered" look would be nice. Mathieu ps: duplicate from original thread at the PMDG forum, but here is a better place obviously. Sorry for the confusion.
