YEAR 1998

Here is our earlier version of the flight deck. As you can see, kind of cool but does not really replicate the 757 flight deck very well. This shows the overhead panel. We intend on upgrading this to more realistic design as well. This panel was copied off of a Boeing 777.
Another good shot on takeoff. The back lighting on the panel is generated by using small Christmas lights (painted orange) located underneath the MCP. In the current version, were using small model railroad lights and they are properly located within the MCP. This shot was taken from outside the sim and displays us flying atop the City of San Francisco at night. That is SFO dead ahead. FYI, all FS98 gauges seen here were created/designed by Capt. Eric Ernst. They truly resemble the real gauges in the Boeing 757/767.
This photograph displays an excellent shot of the MCP we purchased from Cockpit Simulations, Inc. The back lighting is ability is fabulous. Here is a nice shot showing the instruments peeking through the cutouts. The current version has all the gauges located on the panel where they should be made possible by 3 networked computers and Wideview. I would note for those using one computer, this version of my sim is powered by one computer only. Not bad, eh?
