TOPIC 3 - LINKING CONTROL COLUMNS

On this page I will explain, more by diagrams than words, how we are linking our control columns and adding the "Artificial Feel Unit" (AFU) into the simulator.

Above you see a diagram showing the AFU as Les designed it.

Here you see the AFU at rest in its centered position.

And here as it would look if the control column was extended forward. Note how the center bearing and rocker arm both pivot.

This diagram gives you an idea how Les and I are linking the two control columns. (Diagram favors elevators)
