VISIT to KCVG's FAA TRACON TOWER

On Thursday, December 21, 2000, I had the pleasure of being a guest at the Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport's FAA Tracon & Tower. This brand new state-of-the-art tower is only second in height to Seattle's Sea-tac. The electronic equipment inside alone is enough to overwhelm one. A special thank you to Melissa Verst , a Delta Airlines flight attendant and close friend, for making this trip possible.

Looking north-west. Thats Comair's corporate buildings below.

Looking due north towards the terminals. Visibilty was hampered by a brief snow shower passing through. Thats the fire dept. building below.

Same shot as left except this is looking out from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 using Page Cline's KCVG.

Another shot inside the TRACON. The entire room is kept very dark as you can see. This facility handles only arrivals and departures.
