BOEING 767-300 |
![]() (11-08-03) The main instrument panel has been installed. Excellent work done by Peter Cos of Flight Deck Solutions. Peter has been a pleasure to work with. When I contacted him, I explained we needed something a little out of the ordinary. Due to the space limitations and wheel chair considerations, we needed Peter to scale many of the objects he manufactured. Peter never so much as blinked and said "no problem". He wasn't kidding. The packages arrived next day air and were in absolute spectacular condition. |
![]() Here you can see the main instrument panel is much different than the full glass look of the 767-400. Once we get everything installed it will be a "very busy office". |
![]() Note some other things had to be re-made as well as they differ in this model. I had to completely, and I do mean completely, re-make the entire throttle quadrant as it differs greatly in the 757/767-300 compared to the 767-400. Actually this was a blessing because I was able to add some new features like the auto-throttles disconnect switch located on the left side of the left throttle. Also added was a much better functioning flap lever and fuel flow switches with fire annunciators built in. Both EFIS panels on either side of the throttle quadrant are real and function entirely. The standby gauges turned out awesome. Peter cut the frames and I printed and multi-layered constructed the inside components. We also received our Aura bass shakers this week and will be installing these quite soon. The bass shakers will be bolted to the underneath section of the flooring and will provide realistic felt thumps and bumps commonly felt from accelerating down the runway and hitting the center marker lights. Other low frequency noises will be felt also like the gear extension and retraction. More to come.......... |
![]() Today all main instrument panel annunciators were installed. Every annunciator has been equipped with individual 12V bulbs and will function according to the Boeing 757/767 procedure manual. Special thanks to JR Canales with Delta Airlines for his input on specific logic associated with each annunciator. |
![]() Were getting closer......... |
![]() The two large strands of cabling will carry the voltage to the annunciators via the EPIC output modules. (We have over 4 output modules totaling over 128 individual lamps) |
