Corrected a problem saving historic World Weather Themes (WWTs) and simplified the manual save procedure via the 'Save World Weather Theme' option within the Weather dialog.

 

The Save WWT option in the simulator's Addon Menu will still save the current Live/Historic weather automatically into appropriately date/time stamped WWT text and data files. The option in the Weather dialog differs by allowing the WWT filename to be changed prior to saving (or cancelling) the Save WWT request.

The point of departure information is now reset after each flight or after relocating the aircraft. Previous versions would display the wrong (previous) runway information for the new point of departure in the weather reports.

 

Mix up between metres and feet within the LWA Map info box has been corrected. It now shows airport and met station elevations in feet as expected.

 

Weather interpolation improved to give higher priority to met station weather over a wider area surrounding the station's location. The position of the met station within the weather cell is used to expand the met station's influence out into it's immediate surroundings.

The point of departure information is now updated after a flight and each time a Local report is refreshed.

 

The on-screen 'Local Weather Report' is checked and updated more frequently in flight to show details of the nearest aerodrome within 16km (10 miles) along with all it's known runways, listed in preferred order of use.

Licences OpusFSI Upgrade users no longer need to have a valid OpusFSX licence file installed on their system. As a result, no further OpusFSX To OpusFSI Upgrade purchases are possible.

 

Changed the procedures used to modify all aircraft.cfg SimObject files. The cfg files are now modified to store data in the following order,

 

<general config settings> <OpusFSI camera definitions> <standard camera definitions>

 

In other words, the cfg file content is modified to insert (rather than append) all Opus camera definitions in between the aircraft's general configuration settings and all standard aircraft camera definitions. The software will also create a backup (.bak) copy of the aircraft.cfg files the first time it is used.

The 'Auto Zoom' LWA Map option is now effective at both the departure and destination points. The closest point is given priority when on the current Live Weather map. The Live Weather departure, being determined by the actual ground location, will always take precedence over any specified flight plan departure.

 

The LWA Map 'Auto Zoom' checkbox option has also been duplicated on the main LWA Map form to allow quick and easy zoom level and mode changes.

 

The 'Maximum Wing Flex' level (0 = None, 4 = Maximum) can now be set within the Weather Preferences dialog, previous versions would allow only an OFF (Max 0) or ON (Max 4) setting.

An OpusFSI_SimObjects_Template.txt text file has been included for FSX Steam systems. This file can be copied and/or renamed to OpusFSI_SimObjects.txt, then edited to list the path specifications of any addon SimObject Airplanes and Rotorcraft folders not recognised by the FSISERVER program.

Station data rebuilt using the 'Rebuild Station Data' option in the Configure dialog is now loaded and/or appended to the standard OpusFSI station data both after completing a rebuild operation and on start up. This change not only allows addon stations to be loaded but also allows arguments and restrictions to be used with Pete Dowson's MakeRwys.exe utility program.

The decoding of Lat/Lon coordinates in imported PLN flight plan files has been extended to accept delimited degrees (°), minutes (') and seconds (") coordinated values.

 

Modified the simobject update procedure to ensure all additional simobject folders are checked irrespective of current sim type.

First OpusFSI Beta for Prepar3D v3.2.

 

Live Traffic recognises the new non-zero 'user aircraft' ID code in SimConnect events preventing a ghost image of the user's own aircraft appearing on the LWA Maps.

Both the FSISERVER and FSICLIENT programs will automatically use SimConnect 6DOF controls for all non-VC views whilst operating in in Prepar3D v3 simulator mode. This measure is to overcome current bug in the Lockheed Martin PDK interface which does not allow 6DOF control in any 'Custom' External views.

 

N.B.

 

Users may now re-enable the OpusPDK Interface. The PDK will provide more efficient 6DOF control albeit limited to just VC view modes.

 

Before re-enabling, the latest OpusPDK_v3.DLL should be copied into your Prepar3D v3 Modules folder.

Selective Update mode in the Weather Smoothing and Stabilisation dialog no longer works in all Prepar3D modes due to problems in the P3D v2 and v3 METAR interpolation and handling.

The Update Dest and Alt Sites When On Map option in the main Weather dialog no longer works in Prepar3D Version 3 mode due to problems in the P3D v3.2 code processing distant METAR updates.

Live Camera's 'Play Sound on View Change' Configure option will now play a users \OpusFSI\Camera.wav file, defaulting as before to the standard Windows Beep sound (Ding.wav) when no valid 'Camera.wav' file is found in the user's OpusFSI folder.

A new 'Prepar3D Version' numeric box has been added to the Configure dialogs to allow users to specify the version of Prepar3D they are using.

The OpusPDK_v3.DLL is now compatible with the latest Prepar3D v3.3.

The previous v3.2 DLL has also been supplied as OpusPDK_v32.DLL. If using P3D v3.2 users can rename OpusPDK_v3.DLL as OpusPDK_v3_NEW.DLL, then rename OpusPDK_v32.DLL to OpusPDK_v3.DLL. The v3 DLL can then be copied to the Prepar3D v3 Modules sub-folder and used to provide a v3.2 PDK interface.
