Some v9 shots, thought interesting to compare.

Much better cirrus (and stratus) clouds. Cumulus clouds instead are simpler and only 2D (non volumetric), and for this reason have basically zero impact on FPS.

Nice terrain textures and lighting. Very high FPS at max detail (of course this corresponds to lower rendering settings in v10). Max visibility is limited to 25 miles:

Nice night lighing. Very good urban light nighting (among the best of any sim) but only at altitude:

Thanks for the shots. v9 was a really good sim and I used to get great frame rates with it, even on a old PowerPC mac.

Obviously there's a price to pay for more detail...but 10 looks so much better hehe (imo)

Long time no see ...

Thx Murmur for the memmories :-)

I never bought XP9, but used the demo extensively.

I remember that update which turned torque-roll into what we have today :-)

Yes, the pluses, even with the so called "torque bug" more than compensate :-)

I am really enjoying X-Plane 10 again, this turn around the D/L edition, from LR :-)

Of course having a 4GB GTX 960 helps a LOT!
