P3D V3 - no strobe and landing lights in VC

Recommended Posts

Does anybody has the same issue?

I can see landing lights and strobe lights illuminating ground when in external view only. No lights visible from VC. At night of course.

I have "landing lights illuminate ground" enabled in settings. No shockwave lights installed. In FSX/Accel. and P3D v2 everything worked fine.

(NGX version 1.10.6461)

Kind regards.

It appears that this problem is being reported by multiple PMDG users in V3, so it's not just you. Have you tried starting a flight when the sim time is already set to night?

Under that scenario, the lights are reported to work - but if you load the flight in daytime, then change the in-sim time to night - or takeoff in daylight, and fly into nighttime conditions, then the lights are not visible from the VC.

Have not seen any official feedback from PMDG regarding this problem, but I assume there have been enough reports from customers that they are now aware of the issue - though they may not be able to do anything about it if it is actually a bug in P3D itself, in which case LM will have to address it.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have tried starting a flight at night, but the issue remains the same.

So we have to wait for official feedback from PMDG...

It's hard to taxi at night with no lights illuminating ground  :unknw:

This is being discussed on another thread as well. It appears that PMDG is indeed aware of the problem, and is working with LM to try to determine what the cause may be.
