You should also take a look at Flightaware.com.  Real time aircraft movements mainly over the Americas and  Canada. Very interesting to see what's flying around your locale and even further out.

Flightradar24 is pretty cool also. I have their app on my tablet and use it in conjunction with the liveatc.net app to watch and listen to what's going on.
