Uplink Delay setting manual

Recommended Posts

Evening,

When requesting wind data and route in the FMC is there a way to manually specify how long the delay to receiving the data for example requesting the route or wind to take say 40 secs to come etc, is there a method of altering that in the CFG files

Thanks

Jake

Not currently, no. Additionally, it's based on system load, so if you're seeing some set delay value, it isn't a hard fact.

Thanks Kyle

Whilst on the subject of PMDG would you recommend any of these EFB

Looking just for viewing charts, basically transfering all my PDF charts and Manuals from IPad to EFB to view within FSX using B777

You're welcome.

I actually don't use any EFB programs. I have two monitors, so I just pull up the country's chart site on the second screen and look at it there (for free). Most, if not all countries have moved to a free, public format (at least where I usually fly). Some have required registration (I think the UK does, or did), but don't require much other than your name and an email address. In the US, we have the FAA site (d-tpp), but also sites like AirNav.com for that. Norway's AIP is also public and you only need to pass through an agreement page.

Full names in the forum - first and last - please.
