Voice Recorder Switch

Recommended Posts

FS2Crew (and 737NGX FCOMv1 at SP.5.2 on page 208 of the pdf) call for PF to confirm that the Voice Recorder Switch is set to Normal as part of the Preliminary Pre-Flight Procedures and then to test the Voice Recorder.  I can't for the life of me find the Voice Recorder Switch and the associated test switch.

Can anybody help?

Thanks,

JD

Hi,

The switch you are looking for is on the overhead panel between the doors lights panel and the cabin pressure gauge.

Ref: FCOM v2 PDF p30 (1.20.14).

OK, now I see the Voice Recorder test button there on the Overhead Panel!  Sometime so hard to find certain switches.  Thank you, Romain!

I think maybe there is an error in the FS2Crew Tutorial SOP1 Voice document on page 8.  I think it should say that the PF (Captain) performs a Flight Recorder Test and then puts the Flight (not Voice) Recorder Switch back to Normal (by closing the guard).  That would agree with FCOMv1, I believe.  Agreed?

Thanks,

JD

Agreed, I'm not a 737 pilot but it seems logical to me too.
