How do I get rid of black contails

My external view while cruising is terrible... the contrails are just black lines...

 

How do I fix it?... my specs,addons in my signature...

 

I think it could have started after I installed the AI model matching from IVAO, but couldn't be sure..

 

 

I would like my old look back :-) ..

Try checking whether the FSX .cfg has correct entry.

Black where there should be textures is a sure sign that a texture file is missing.

The most common reason for a sudden appearance of black effects is that the Effects\texture folder has been moved. Most vapour trails use fx_smoke.bmp

Turn on missing texture alert in fsx.cfg and see which texture is missing

This was a really old, original post, and looking at his specs, he's a P3D v4 user, not an FSX user.
