WX Advantage Radar

Recommended Posts

Using P3dv 3.4.18.19475 and Wx Radar SP1 HF1 I get an immediate CTD with the faulting module being the Advanced Wx .dll as soon as I try to turn the radar on. (In any plane it's installed in)  I have since had to uninstall the wx radar so I could fly without a CTD does anyone know a fix for this?  I created an account with REX but still waiting to be "verified" before I'll be able to ask for some help there.

Thanks in Advance,

Robert

Hello!

I updated the WXadv to the latest version for use with P3Dv4.
Everything works quite good apart from one thing: When you start a default flight you set, for the first time, once you power on the radar, it do not have the blue lines and the writings, only the rain drawing. Then if you change plane or reload the flight, it will work.
Very odd.

And, is there the possibility to setup he radar so it is automatically "on" on WX mode status?

Thanks a lot!

No, and honestly I don't even understand your question/problem. The WX Radar is off when first loaded. This is realistic since radar is not turned on while on the ground for safety reasons.

When you are airborne, turning the knob to the right one step will energize the radar and paint a "rainbow" pattern on the screen to test all of the pixels for proper operation. Turning the knob one more step to the right will enable the WX radar return.

No problem, i can live with it.

The main subject of my post is the bug by the way.

There is no "bug." Quite likely there may have been something in the installation that didn't go quite right, but your description of the problem isn't very clear.

In any case, the proper place to get official help is the Milviz product support forum.

Actually it sounds like a problem I have been seeing with some users in P3Dv4 lately, where the GDI+ objects fail to initialize. I will see what I can come up with.

I have just purchased the Milviz Otter, in P3dv4. The sim has a built in option for the REX WX radar. I have updated the REX WX radar to the P3dv4 version.

The WX radar in the 3d panel does not show any weather symbology. The pop up works fine, just no 3d WX display?  The controls on the 3d panel also don't function.

Just thought I'd mention it!

Regards.

Even before BitDefender started to reject the new version I'd had no luck installing it in P3Dv4.1"

The application rexdownloadmanagerlite.exe accesses a web resource "cut" that has been detected as infected. Virus name: Gen:Variant.Mikey.76707. The web resource has been successfully blocked and your PC is now safe."

Yah... you didn't read that you have to disable your AV before downloading and installing this product... did you?
