VfrFlight is now coming to XPlane

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Some of you could be familar with a free flight planner, that I am developing since last 3 years - VfrFlight (http://vfrflight.org).

I am pleased to announce, that FINALLY I have implemented support for data import/export and FMS files for XPlane.

I think, that the biggest advantage of VfrFlight is that it is fully cross-platform (runs on Windows, Linux, MacOS etc), and supports flight planning for FSX, P3D, XPlane and also... real flights as I am a holder of PPL license.

More information and download link for the 'beta' is here:

http://vfrflight.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=40

In my YouTube channel you can find bunch of videos with VfrFlight in action:

I would love to hear your feedback and opinions.

Have a nice evening,

Lukasz

Just tried it and my first feedback is:

The Linux shell start script doesn't work upon click. But all is fine if you change to the directory in a terminal and copy paste the code without the first line.

Then I didn't see a export to X-Plane. Can you export and import the flightplans in the default X-Plane 10 Garmin? What about sid/star?

Thanks again for you work.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

I will check the script.

You can import XPlane data with selecting option from 'Tools' menu.

Export/import for flightplans is done for FMS files, so I guess it should work for default XPlane 10 Garmin. You need to select this from menu 'Flight plans'.
