Hello Randy,    Are you asking how to Install FSX Steam ?

(1) You will need to Install Steam again    http://store.steampowered.com/

(2)  Input your Username and Password  you will be Emailed an Authentication Number.

(3)  Click View and then Game Details  "Top Left"

(4)  Highlight FSX and Click Install,  you will be given a Choice of Location to Install too.

Thats it really

I hope that's what you were asking

Do you install it to Program File 86 or would you recommend a separate folder like you do for FSX FS9?

Personally speaking,  I Never Install anything into Program Files (x86)    I will always Install elsewhere.

Their is a way to install in a different folder, go into the game properties before you download.

I was in a hurry and didn't care because I was trying Win 10 with a clean install. In Program Files (x86) or not, a clean Win 10 along with FSX Steam (alone, no boxed ver.) I ended up with the best setup yet for me. Also bought Steam version of ASN and Rex-Soft Clouds. Getting 28+ FPS at major Airports in vc and 55+ outdoors. I was very surprised! No stutters, no hicups, no problems at all. Smooth as silk, that's all I ask for. I have never been  able to run FSX this well. I have no third party textures so I don't know how they would work. PMDG works perfect for me,. Love the b777.

20 years ago I paid $1500.00 for a Motorola CPU, don't do that stuff anymore. If AMD comes out with that new Zen Chip and it's reasonable I will build another machine.
