QW BAe 146/200 some basic commands don't work

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I noticed that some commands don't work during flow or when I ask to copilot : the CP acknowledges but there is not effect on these switches.

Nav light on or off

Beacon light on or off

Strobe light on or off

Last Mce version.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Richard Portier

Will have it checked. QW 146 including Avrojet series are fully supported since 3 years ago.

Was there any more recent update than V1.4?

Is it just the items you reported, or the whole thing not working?

Just a reminder, with Windows UAC enabled, you must

1 - Install MCE to default C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder

2 - Set "fsx.exe" or "prepar3D.exe" to run as administrator.

If using a launcher app for the sim, the launcher app must be set to run as admin as well.

Only then will you ensure data flowing between the sim and MCE unrestricted, and switches flipped as expected.

Hi Gerald,

Was there any more recent update than V1.4?

Not to my knowledge. Btw, I have the V1.4

Is it just the items you reported, or the whole thing not working?

It's just the reported items (in fact there are more, I will summarize after answering your questions). The whole thing seems to work (Flows and so...are ok).

Just a reminder, with Windows UAC enabled, you must

1 - Install MCE to default C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder

2 - Set "fsx.exe" or "prepar3D.exe" to run as administrator.

My UAC is disabled from the day one. All programs in connection with Fsx running as administrator including all install programs.

If using a launcher app for the sim, the launcher app must be set to run as admin as well.

No launcher at all.

So, in fact I have since yesterday one more problem.

I come back to my initial post.

The items with issue are :

Nav light on or off

Beacon light on or off

Strobe light on or off

Emergency light on, off or arm

Entry light on or off

Wing lts on or off

Logo lts on or off

Cabin lts on or off

the FO acknowledges but there is not effect on these switches.

Landing/taxi lts commands are inversed :

Landing lights on>>>ok

Landing lights off>>>The Fo press the landing light on taxi lights position instead the off position

Taxi lights on>>>The FO press the taxi lights on "off position" !

Taxi lights off>>>The FO press the taxi lights on "on position" !

Now the second incredible problem. I've never seen it until now :shok:  (Frankly I do not know if it's a problem with MCE, Bae 146-200 or me ;-) ).

If someone can just test the following :

1-Bae 146-200 + Mce running with all panels lights on

2-Important : Transponder button must be on "standby" position

3-Ask to the FO "Transponder TR/RA"

Look what happens at this moment : (Note that the transponder does not move like other buttons. See above). No more gauge, nothing.

The only solution is to put by hand the transponder on any other position (on or TR/RA) and ask to FO any transponder command.

Any idea about what's wrong ?

Sorry for the long post

This has been reported via e-mail about 4 weeks ago and should be fixed in most recent release.

QW146 related dll in <MCE dlls>, "mcqw146.dll" should be 1.0.1.4

Suggest you update MCE to very latest, re-check the items you reported and confirm which ones require attention. We'll take it from there

Edit : I have two mcqw146.dll

One under Multi Crew Experience\support\files\Fsx\MCE dlls folder=1.0.1.6

A second one under the Fsx\MCE dlls folder=1.0.1.4

Two different versions ? Normal ?

My MCE install is 2.6.7.4 (last version)

Must I updated again the same version ?

What about the "second" gauge problem ?

My mistake. The dll in <MCE dlls> folder should be latest V1.0.1.6

For some reason, the installer hasn't grabbed the very latest. Maybe some issue with the automated installer package generator. Thanks for pointing it out.

With V1.0.1.6 should get that 3 way landing lights-off-taxi, switching correctly.

It appears, the other lights are no longer working because something was broken on the "mce.exe" side (bug introduced when trying to fix that 3 way switch and no testing was done for the other lights). Already identified and fixed.

What about the "second" gauge problem ?

Will get it checked today.

Could not replicate graphics issue. To get external lights working again, download this patch, unzip and replace files as per folder structure.

Grammar files for PF3 have also been revised.
