P3DV3.4.9 and WHQL 375.63 a great spot

Recommended Posts

Hi all Nvidia drivers ,

Just wanted you to know that you should try out the latest drivers (at least for P3DV3.4.9 ).

It even runs better on my system than 353.06 which i found to be pretty cool.

I have tested in Aerosoft EDDF2 with OPENLCEU and Night Invironment Germany with the NGX and in CYVR (FSDT) with PNW by ORBX in the Realair Legacy .

A little tip: if you are using AS2016+ASCA and doesnt mind the overcast feature , then set your clouds settings to high instead of maxed out in P3D . I have a huge performance when AS2016 is predicting OVC (even in SLI)

Just my two cents for the night

Remember to use DDU in safemode when uninstalling your previous drivers

Hi Michael,

could you be a bit more precise? Is it smoothness is it fluidity or FPS? What GPU are you on? Im on a ASUS GTX 1080 Strix Advanced but away from my PC.

Thanks :)

It even runs better

Meaning...? Are there any notes about P3D in the release info? With every release of a new driver someone posts about improved performance in one way or another and someone else posts performance dropped. I never ever notice any difference with any driver, like most people... But I am glad they do wonders for you!

EVERY tome a new driver is released, an "Evangelist" appear speaking of the wonders it's done for their system...

Then a slew of people saying "yeah for me too", another batch saying "it's worse for me" and a third batch saying "what I have now runs fine I'm not even going to try it"...

Pointless, pointless, pointless....

Sometimes what goes unnoticed...

Upon a driver update, your NVIDIA program profiles can get reset to the default settings, which is why people see a performance boost. In reality, it is only the sparse grid supersampling/antialiasing that is getting turned off.

100+   There are virtually an infinite number of variables involved including not only your specific test flight, but every other variable and combination of variables in how you have the sim and drivers setup.   Wake me up when 64bit P3D appears with full exploitation of DX12, and a processor upgrade worth more than 3% over the prior iteration.

You'll be waiting a long time. Not for the first part but for the second.

I quite dont understand your negative attitude about this.

Ït will cost you about 7 minutes to test if for your self. ?

i only use default settings . Only add is AM=85

FWIW the sim feels more smooth without any stutter

Michael, I always update to the newest driver.

Never ever have I experienced better or worse framerates....

I update with a clean install and then manually set the settings to what I had before.
