I've never seen this behavior until I purchased the 727 for FSX. When I do a "FLY TO" operation on the gps in order to fly via gps from one airport to another without using the flight planner, the gps gives me  the magenta line to the destination as well as the correct distance.  However, as soon as it updates, the magenta line and the destination airport disappear.

The distance number reverts back to the "Seattle"( I am assuming, since it's 4000+ miles, and I am flying in italy on a less than 100 miles route).

It does not happen with other aircrafts; only with the CS 727.

Any ideas? I've never been able to set the distance number to zero, that is, to reflect my point of departure when I first open the gps.
