| AirSource AirSource is a virtual pilot union. This union does not necessarily fit into the “virtual airline” category due to our operational structure. However, AirSource does fall into the category of “virtually simulating flights” for “virtual” real world airlines. We plan, perform, and report our flights in the usual virtual airline format. Where we differ from many others is that our pilots have a wide variety of Airlines to choose from. In fact, we currently offer support for over 120 different “real world” airline flight schedules. Observing this, you can imagine just how many flights our pilots have a choice to perform! Since every airline schedule changes frequently, we have links posted to each airline web site for up to the minute schedule information. This prevents the large amount of time it would take to maintain a schedule. Instead of maintaining a “fleet” of aircraft limited to one simulator, or going nuts trying to maintain aircraft for two simulators, we simply download the huge selection of aircraft and liveries available on fine sites such as AVSIM. This is a win-win situation. I received much praise from AirSource members that finally no one is limited to one “boring” airline livery. So limitations are kept to a minimum here at AirSource. Our normal “scheduled” flight operation lets the pilot choose whatever flight they want to perform, as long as we support the airline listed. For the people who need a “reason” to fly, we offer weekly “contract” flights. A contract flight is derived from the real world airline schedule, using the appropriate aircraft, departure and arrival points and times. These flights are posted because the normal scheduled pilots (in the ‘real’ world’) cannot make the flight for whatever reason, therefore it is up to AirSource pilots to be sure the flights are completed. Sometimes it is due to sickness, others vacations. The contract flights are posted every Friday night, and members “bid” on the flights. There are normally one or two bids available per flight (depending on the days of the week the flight operates). Once a pilot logs onto our website and bids the flight, it is removed from the list and that pilot is subject to fly the flight. All of this is made possible by our real time statistical database. Contract flights are the core AirSource mission. We have just installed a great Forum to keep our communication lines open, and always welcome new ideas and suggestions. AirSource is here to stay as long as I’m around, and being in my early 30’s that might be a while!? |

CyberAir Cyber Air currently has 5 hubs - Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Dallas and Munich - with immediate plans on adding hubs in Denver and Honolulu. "The main thing that separates Cyber Air from the rest is that we have always built our own aircraft in house. We don't do repaints...ever! Every aircraft file on our site includes the AFX file so that other VA's or individuals can download, repaint and fly our aircraft at no charge," said Bill Alderson, Cyber Air's founder. Cyber Air also operates the largest fleet of any VA. |

Attention: CyberAvia is only open to French speaking virtual pilots. |

Meridian Airlines Founded on September 8, 1997 by Andy Jung and Ben Grady, Meridian Airlines (a virtual airline) was formed to provide flight simulator pilots all around the world, regardless of skill level and age, with a simulated airline experience. The main goal of Meridian Airlines from the beginning was to provide that experience with enough of a sense of realism, yet not quite enough to feel as though it were a real world job, complete with the potential for the everyday stresses that often occur. After all, most, if not all, pilots apply to have fun. Meridian Airlines is the first Virtual Airlines to be awarded an AVSIM VA World Partnership. Visit Meridian Airlines today. |

Orange Air Orange Air is a Virtual Airline, set up by and for flight-sim enthusiasts. Our goal is to let you have more fun with Microsoft Flight simulator. We offer timetables with flights all over the world, some really good aircraft, active HUB management and of course lots of fun! Orange Air began in 1996 with one hub at EHAM & has grown ever since, now having 4 European hubs, one at YSSY & it's own separate cargo arm. In the second quarter of 2000 OA converted its entire timetables to provide "ready to go" adventures using Radar Contact ATC. Now almost 400 flights available with Radar Contact adventures. An automated flight assignment program is due to launch 1st quarter 2001. We are in the process of taking our fleet over to FS2k. This is a rolling program & is expected to be complete by the end of the 1stQ 2001. Orange Air is a well established VA with active/professional hub management that tries to keep things as real as we can get it. The availability of our flights in the form of Radar Contact Adventures is, we believe, the way to go! |
| Socair Virtual Airlines Socair began operations in August 1998. We started serving the western US from our HQ based out of San Francisco Intl Airport. Since then we have added several more Hubs in: San Diego-CA USA, London Heathrow and Malaga-Spain in Europe. Our main goal is to provide a real airline environment to all our pilots. Our initial management staff was made up by 2 real pilots (Greg Howard -CEO- and Tom Pigford) and an aircraft/panel designer (Sergio Osuna) with real flight experience too. We all were the remnants of previous VAs and founders of Socair. We believe that without realism there is no fun. Because of that we offer a great degree of realism to all our pilots. Our airline depends entirely on our pilots and so we even created a virtual financial system. If we want to add new planes, open new routes/hubs etc we´ll must have a look to our virtual economic status first. We operate a fleet which has been chosen carefully (C172,B58,B1900D,Do328,ATR72, Avro Rj85, B737-300, B767-300 and very soon a B747-400). Our planes fly regional, domestic and international routes. Our keyword is quality, and most of our planes have been modified with new and realistic flight models. Of course we provide everything our pilots may need to fly their assignments (aircraft manual, panels, etc). Our fleet is used according to an authentic rotation system, no aircraft is used twice at the same time. We don´t worry about quantity as much as quality (number of pilots and planes). We hope to link as many locations (world-wide) as we can in the following months with our new Socair Cargo Service. |

WestWind Airlines WestWind Airlines is one of the best-known and most professionally operated virtual airlines on the net. If you have not been associated with a VA before and want to know what VAing is all about, take a look at this partner's site. |
What is the AVSIM VA Partnership Program? Simply stated, it is our effort to bring together the best in the community under one umbrella and location, where you, the avid simmer, can freely access them. This Page is more than just "links". You can read about what our VA Partners have to offer; pilot routes and schedules, aircraft painted in their liveries, hub information, training assistance and more. Our VA Partners represent the best in their categories of contributions to the community, and are whole-heartedly supported by AVSIM in whatever manner is necessary to provide you the best in service and support. For example, we provide our Partners database services, forums, and much more as needed. And we provide those features at no charge to our Partners or to you. Our philosophy behind the Partnership Program is is very simple: by providing linkage, resources and visibility for our Partners, we are all better able to serve the simming community. We don't ask our Partners to paste huge AVSIM banners on their sites, nor do we ask Partners to continuously bombard you with propaganda regarding AVSIM or other Partners. We don't make money from our Partners, and we don't worry about advertising revenue generated from their presence. We don't add JAVA encoding to their pages to keep you in our frame, and we don't restrict who they can or cannot link to. We simply ask them to continue to provide you the best that they can in whatever they do. We don't dictate to them how to run their site or produce an add-on for you; after all, they became Partners because they are good at what they do... Who are we to tell them how to do it better? How do you become a VA Partner? The answer is quite simple... Be the best at what you do for the simming community and demand that same excellence from those that you associate with. Please be aware that the minimum requirements are: At least 6 months continual operation & a minimum of 20 active pilots. We will contact you regarding your potential Partnership with AVSIM.
