Dear
flight simulation enthusiasts,
Do
you ever fire up your FS2000/FS2002 and wonder where you are going to
fly? Are you ever stuck for an idea to go somewhere new and see something
new? Well, hopefully with what we have compiled here we can wet your appetite
a little and take you on a flight that will open your eyes to the wonders
of what MSFS can offer.
Here
is where we store an ever growing collection of (mainly) VFR trips for
you to fly. These are not high quality SID/STAR and Jetway trips (although
we welcome any such trips and if there is enough demand we can open up
a separate page for that!) , but rather sightseeing trips we make in all
parts of the world.
For
now these are MS FS2000/FS2002 only, but again, if there is enough demand
we can include other flight sims as well, just as long we can use the
same kind of lay-out.
We
use the FSNavigator (version 4.x) add-on
program to plan our trips and you can download the .fsn files containing
the FSNavigator flight plan for you to fly as well. We will also provide
these files in FSNavigator 3.0 format and
as regular FS .pln files with the same (approximate) route. And
we are experimenting with other navigation programs too. If you don't
have these programs, then check out the Useful
Files page.
As
this initiative grows, we will provide more information and links to relevant
parts of Avsim and other interesting sites. We aim to provide you with
as much information as we can... all geared towards the joys of VFR flying
and looking at the world from above.
Let
us know what you think by writing an e-mail to either of us or posting
your comments in the AVSIM Screenshots forum. Write to Francois
'Navman' Dumas or Aidan 'Akulla'
Williams.
To
make searching for interesting flights easier for you we have sorted them
by area/country. Click for the newest additions on the Flight Plan of
your choice in the table below to jump directly to the associated web
pages with the full flight plan details. To access

Aidan's
first FS2002 Alaska flight. The area he flew in is located about
750 miles east of Anchorage. The route that he took follows
the river from Wrigley to Fort Simpson and shows some beautiful
water reflection shots! He used Bill Lyons' Canuck 80 for
the flight. |
