Weather Hunters International also maintains a Polar Operations Command. With stations to cover both the Arctic Ocean and Antarctica, groundbreaking research is being performed, which will play a vital role for those living in some of the harshest places on the planet. WHI is also assisting researchers get a firm grip on how theses barren ice-covered play a major role in weather phenomenon all the way to the equator. Due to the immense logistic effort needed to man a polar command center, only one is open at a given time. Normally, the center basking in the daylight of spring and fall gets the nod.
