FSW: Fs2002 High/Mid Level Clouds Preview!

Recommended Posts

Hi, Those clouds will be in fs sky weather with the correct weather condition, they covers all high level clouds of the world, also there also near 60 more than this preview, overcast, mackarel etc. The result is pretty great with the combination of the new fsw cumulus etc (not in this preview only high level clouds preview)The cumulus,Fog, Stratus, Cb and T- storm with an Anvil on TOP still in progress, but the major works was for those high level clouds.Wait A little for the download if it is slow.Fs 2002 HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS PREVIEW:http://fsw.simflight.com/1.htmlhttp://fsw.simflight.com/2.htmlhttp://fsw.simflight.com/3.htmlhttp://fsw.simflight.com/4.htmlThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFshttp://fsw.simflight.com/fsw.jpg

Chris,Any chance you can link to a non flash preview page of your wonderful clouds ?, I clicked on the first link and waited for 5-6 minutes, it was only halfway through downloading - so I gave up.One of the penalties for us poor dial-up users I guess, but I would love to preview your amazing creations.Kind RegardsAndy

Hi Andy, ok the first one is big near 1mb, but the others are lower in size, I will upload the 45 shots, but I can't here because of the limits( 5 by post), so you will have to go in my forum. Those are only day shots, the dawn/dusk are pretty great to see!ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFshttp://fsw.simflight.com/fsw.jpg

Masterful work Chris!!!will these be in a different DXT format than the default?I cant wait untill we are all using DX9 hardware and supported 40bit textures sometime soon maybe perhaps in CFS3, I want to say so long to the banding in the night sky! Anyway its nice to have someone talented like yourself doing great things with what we have and giving us somthing to look forward to, great stuff especialy these new high level clouds.:)Paul

"will these be in a different DXT format than the default?"the default clouds are 32bits like mine it's far enough for texture, also the engine of fs2002 is 32 bits I have tested all works in 32 bits, but they use DXT format for generic, aircraft etc..I saw those high level clouds in cfs3, still lacking on definition, blending, maybe later beta , the sky color and t&l for the clouds in cfs3 improve ALOT the clouds contrast and brightness, this is missing in fs2002 , well almost in fs2004.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFshttp://fsw.simflight.com/fsw.jpg
