Why don't default aircraft "overstress"?

Recommended Posts

Further to my post about how to fly the AA 727-200 Advanced aircraft (the big 18 meg download over at FSim.com) --- I have come to realise that , although I have the "aircraft stress causes damage " box ticked in the realism settings, I never ever get any stress damage while flying up until now . Now, I am getting it while flying the 727. I regularly collapse the undercarriage on landing -- got to get that worked out!! So what is it about the default and other addon aircraft that I have flown ?-- they seem too easy to land to me!Barry

HI Barry,Aircraft stress routines in Fs2002 rely on two seperate factors:- undercarriage strength, and positive/negative "G" whilst flying. You can set the "G" limits in the airfile and the gear strength in the aircraft cfg file under the Contact Points section.Regards,Rob Young

I get Aircraft overstress on my defaults. On long flights, I have to turn it off so i don't crash & ruin the whole thing.
