Do real world GA aircraft really land in Frankfurt or F

A little real world question I always wanted answered.Is it really possible to fly with a small Cessna into a huge airport with a takeoff every 3 minutes like Frankfurt.R u also allowed to do this under VFR?Thx fr any professinal answers.Alex

In the United States, you are allowed to fly into Class B airspace, (Dallas, Chicago LAX, etc.), with a GA plane, you will be under ATC control of course, and these large airports have stiff landing fees, probably to discourage GA aircraft. LOL. In order to fly into class B airspace you must have a private pilot license, no students allowed unless you are checked out by your flight instructor.KDFW, Dallsa Tx, used to charge $25.00 for a Cessna 172 to land, that was back in 1996, I haven't landed there lately so the fees have probably changed, and I doubt if they have decreased. :Dhttp://members.cox.net/wb5okj/ArcherII.jpg

Believe the landing fee at Atlanta is 50.00 USD. I haveseen Cessnas there from time to time. Very strange tobe sitting in a B777 on your way to Amsterdam and look outthe window and see a C172 on the same tarmac!!!Eric

Alex,the answer is VERY SELDOM.EDDF has a GA area, but it is mostly used for bizJETs. I've seen 1 (in words: ONE) Cessna-sized aircraft in the last years here. Landings of Turboprops of a KingAir's size are few, but happen from time to time.There are quite a few smaller airfields (5 or 6) within 50 km range to FRA suitable for GA aircraft.ToMeyP.S. I already modified the traffic.bgl so that nothing smaller than a Baron comes to EDDF. And those with very limited probability.
