Request for airfield information

David,That's a good start !Bruntingthorpe -- Which one is 6L/24R and which is 6R/24L ?Enstone -- Which one is 8L/26R and which is 8R/26L ?Langar -- Are these dimensions in FEET or METRES ?Many thanks for the information. RAF Wittering 08/26 is 2758x60 m ashphalt.Saltby 07/25 1200x40 m concrete/ashphalt.07/25 950x50 m Grass.02/20 800x30 m concrete.RAF Fairford09/27 3047x? m ashphalt.RAF Cottesmore05/23 2744x46 m concrete.Thame ?.Hope this helps.Steve.

Frenchy,Many thanks for that one. This seems to be one of the very few places where information on RAF bases can be obtained. It made me laugh though :-lol The reason for this is that I had an e-mail conversation with Gary Summons about the lack of this kind of information on the internet, and he said that he couldn't get it from them for security reasons ! Stephen,Thanks for the information. I obtained the information regarding the three RAF bases that you mention from one of the above posts. However, Saltby is one that I can use. Many thanks.Just one thing. Two runways at Saltby are designated as 7/25. Which one is which ? In other words, 7L/25R and 7R/25L.Best Wishes,Chris Low,ENGLAND.

Hi Chris,Ref Saltby.25R / 07L is the concrete / ashphalt.See attachment.Regards,Steve.South Wales. ( 2nm East of Brecon VOR 117.45 BCN )
