Barberpole speed and glass panels...

Recommended Posts

Guest

Here's a question...in the older "gauged" panels, the A/S indicator had a barberpole that adjusted with altitude to visually indicate how close to Vmax you were getting. In the new panels, the rolling "tape" a/s indicator has no such feature (nor does the backup gauge). So, how do I know how far above Vo I can go before the bell starts ringing? Finally got a 40GB WD ATA100 drive, burning everything down later today for a fresh system install...wish me luck.Cheers,DaveKCOS

Guess it depends on the panel. On all my add-on planes the Vmax is shown as a series of red bars on the speed tape.
