July 13, 200322 yr That doesn't sound very friendly, does it :-) The thing is, I use S-Combo for a co-pilot and although I appreciate the fact that I can deselect the GPWS sounds in the PMDG menu, I would also like to be able to deselect the V calls.By the way, is it me, or does the V1 call sound like it it supposed to be a computer generated call, like the GPWS sounds?Leo Bakker
July 13, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Leo,Well Contractual obligations do not allow the removal of a PMDG First Officer, If you do, I'm sure they'll file a greivance and then look out *:-* I think I have a possible solution but I will ask Robert and post you an answer tomorrow (if he doesn't beat me to it)RegardsPaul Gollnick :-coolTechnical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.com Paul Gollnick Manager Customer/Technical Support Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
July 13, 200322 yr >Well Contractual obligations do not allow the removal of a>PMDG First Officer,....Hi Paul, do I understand that if I remove the wav-file for the First Officer that I get that "ungegistered" screen again (just like after editing a panel texture)? :-roll :-roll :-roll We PAID for the product and would like to set it to our own preferences. :-mad I use a combination of First Officer's voices generated by Flight Deck Companion and Radar Contact... another First Officer every few flights. I probably like to remove the PMDG voice.
July 14, 200322 yr Commercial Member Jaaky, I think you misunderstood Paul's humor. Changing a wave file or bitmap will not effect your registration, however, PMDG does not give support for user modifications, and you do so at your own risk. That being said, I'm sure it wont be too difficult for you to identify the wav files you want to replace.VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gif Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
July 14, 200322 yr I misunderstood Paul's humor indeed.My excuses Paul.Renaming PMDG_V1.wav into PMDG_V1.w$v has no ill effects.
