This probably isn't possible...

This might be impossible, but has anyone made a utility to convert a .mdl (made in any design program) to a GMAX file so it can be modified? I was thinking about this last night, I have some ideas...

The model I want to convert is a FS2000 model, but since I have gmax, I just wanted to use that to update it. I heard others talking about a utility like this.

Even if you use the decompiler, you will have no way of importing the decompiled source code into gmax.

There was some talk about a converter that would do MDL to DXF which you can then import into GMAX. I had a go with a couple of the versions that were available - but all I managed to into GMAX just looked like the results of a nasty accident !!
