Lake Windermere and flying boats - any ideas? (O/T)

Moderator: I hope this post is OKHi allSorry for being off-topic, but I thought my fellow aviation enthusiasts might be able to help.Has anyone any information on rumours of a number of flying boats lying at the bottom of Lake Windermere, in the UK Lake District?The Short company set up a factory in nearby Rochester to produce flying boats to meet WW2 demand. At the end of the war, the factory was decommissioned. The rumour centres around the notion that the tooling equipment was then dumped into the lake, and the remaining flying boats towed out into the lake and scuttled.This is a serious request to aid me with research into a TV programme.
