First Flights and a SID/STAR Question

Recommended Posts

Goodmorning,First Flights yesterday night and I have to say only one think WOW!! Now MSFS became "AS REAL AS IT GETS" Congrtats gentlemen :-)And a question about SID/STAR creation. At the manual it says that we can fly direct to a waypoint using "DIRECT FIX ABC"I am writing the sid/star for LGRP and the departure ASIMI1B from rnw 07 which states:Climb straight ahead to 700 turn left intercept PAR-R053 to D10 turn RIGHT to RDS itercept RDS-R292 to ASIMI.I use the following format in the sid/star txt flileSID ASIMI1B RNW 07 TRK 068 UNTIL 700 SPEED 210 HDG 040 INTERCEPT RADIAL 053 FROM NAVAID PAR HDG 053 UNTIL 10 FROM NAVAID PAR DIRECT NAVAID RDS NAVAID ASIMIThe following is a pic of how the route shows on ND and FMC observe that the ND shows that after PAR-10 the plane will turn RIGHT to RDShttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/52824.jpgThe following Approaching PAR-10. The difference between current hdg and RDS is 156 degreeshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/52825.jpgAnd now After reaching PAR10 the plane starts a LEFT turn towards ASIMI as seen in the FMC, for some reason bypass the RDS waypoint altough it was drawn correcly in the NDhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/52826.jpgAny Ideas how this can be corrected?Once more congrats PMDG for a PERFECT A/C :-)Chris MakrisAthens Greece

You can force the turn by inserting another waypoint (could take up to 3 FIXes) at the top of the right turn or about where the halfway point would be for that right turn. This should force a right hand turn. You can get the lat/long by using a graphic flightplanner.Terry
