FMC Pages

I believe the FMC is supposed to display the page that is applicable to the phase of flight you are in and then auto advance to the appropriate page as the flight progresses. Is that correct?Mine always displays the Menu page when first opened and does not advance automatically at any time. Any suggestions?Thanks

Let me assume I know what you are refering to and answer ;) If you are climbing in VNAV and transition to CRZ the FMC will display the CRZ page. Same goes for CRZ to DEScent. The page on power up is also correct (Note: This is an airline option, not all airlines have the exact same start up page, ours follows West Jet Ngs here)..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. To assume what I am refering to is always dangerous:)Yes Randy that's what I mean. But when I transition from CRZ from CLIMB, I don't believe the FMC page changes automaticaly to the CRZ page etc. I'll check it out to verify. I do have a habit of screwing things up at 2:00PM in the morning.

You mean from CLB to CRZ ;). Leave the CLB page displayed (while climbing) and at the T/C the page will automaticly trnasition to the CRZ page. Same goes for CRZ to DESC at TOD with CRZ displayed. As a side note, on the real FMC, you are able to *look* at the CLB page even in the CRZ phase of flight (it will show boxes).............. [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
