After getting the SU1.2, I decided to go and get a bigger hard drive. I removed all flight stuff from my C: drive and then did a new install on the new 120 Gig F: drive. Now I cant start FS 2004 to fly my new SU2 becuase during the splash screen opening, I get a message " AIRCRAFT INITIALIZATION FALIURE BOEING 737-400"Anybody ever experience this and is it something that I did wrong with SU-2?Warm reguards,Grounded in Seattle

Hi Randy That is what is confusing me. My last defualt aircraft was the PMDG 600NG. Have tried to look through all the help files in AVSIM and no luck. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with MSFS defualt 737-400. ThanksFlamming out hard here. :-zhelp

Was this a backup of the hard drive, so you wouldn't have to reinstall everything from scratch?Chris

Chris, First, thank you for helping. What I did was add a second drive, now my F drive. Un-installed MSFS 2004 and PMDG 737 NG only, and re-installed on the new F: drive. What I was hoping to accomplish was having a whole drive just dedicated to flying the PMDG 737 NG with UT and my "GO Flight" flight deck.Thank you again.SINK RATE!!! SINK RATE!!! :-eek

Boy, the only thing I can think of is that there's a reference in the registry or something that is pointing it in the wrong direction. Did you completely remove FS2004? I mean make sure the folder under program files on the system drive is gone and remove ANY reference to 2004 in the registry is deleted. The registry is not something to play around with, however, to clean out certain items is usually okay. Just don't delete something you're not sure about. Other than that, it's possible that FS9 won't let you do this without some challenges or at all.Chris

I was refering to the fact that your error message was not because of SU2. I will GUESS with all that moving around (other drives etc) will cause such headaches and frankly beyond my help. Chris, Well, I'm still digging. Yes, I did a complete removal of 2004. Like you I dont like to mess with my registry. The more I dig, the more that I find this is going to be a Windows XP problem and not a MSFS 2004 to PMDG file crashing. Something in my gut is telling me that when MSFS is looking for my deflault flight, it is trying to look in MY documents folder. Which is not copied onto my F: drive.Isnt that were 2004 MSFS places all of its user flights and saves? Randy, Boy I sure did bite off a big one here! Thanks though, and let me just say, you all have done an awsome job with the NG and I SOOOO look forward to the 800, 900 and 747. You guys ROCK! I will be glad to open my wallet and buy more of your products if this quality and service even remotely continues.If I find a resolution, I'll write it up.All Best!!

Okay finally got it to work. I was right. When installing a second drive, you have to copy your "documents and settings" over to your new drive. MSFS does need to have that on the same drive as where you installed it.Thanks to all who tried to help.CLIMB CHECKS! Best reguards,:-jumpy

Great! I had to leave to take care of my sick grandpa, sorry. I'm glad that was it. I was going to suggest that only because FS9 copies all the planes into the document folder. I guess having the aircraft in the program isn't enough, they really want to eat your hard drive space!Chris
