Can anyone tell me what that sound is?? I can only describe it as a very fast clicking sound when the 737 is in the 2D look head panel view. It sounds like an old fan running. I have tried every switch to see if I can shut it off, but no luck. Any ideas????ThanksKevin

Yeah isnt that a little hammer inside the altimeter? If I remember correctly, it is there to create small vibrations to keep the dial turning. I think the reason we see them in jets is because the avionics equipment is so well secured. As opposed to smaller aircraft where the natural vibrations of the aircraft keep it turning. Although sometimes we have to tap it to get it going if its frozen in place. Isnt this correct?Keith Yingling

This is how I made that clicking sound stop.Bring up the 2D cockpit panel and follow this path. Alt/PMDG/737NG/Styles put the slider to "Mid-level", sound is gone. Later

Please sign your name to you posts in accordance with the PMDG Fourm guidlines, thanks! Yes it was very cool that PMDG put the sound slider option for us even though you you cannot turn it off (Ticking of the stby altimeter) in the real bird ;)[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
